He was leading us somewhere, and he still hasn't told me. We are now in a forest though. The further we walk in, the louder, what sounds like a waterfall, gets. He stopped walking and I was still behind him, "You ready?"
"For what?" I asked catching up with him.
"Come here and look."
I get to his side and it's an amazing view. We are on a cliff overhanging a lake, which had to be at least 100 feet above the water. There was another cliff on the opposite side of the lake and had a waterfall flowing into the lake below. Plus, the water was crystal clear. It was completely beautiful. I haven't seen anything like this since before everything happened. It almost made me forget about the rest of the world.
"Do you like it?"
"It's absolutely beautiful! How did you know it was here?"
"Me and my mates, Kyle, Woody and Will, used to come here a lot. Once Earth was first invaded, we split up for our own safety. Which leads me to something else..."
"What?"
"Well, today is a very special day. I never thought I would meet another person, so it will be a surprise."
"Okay, I can't wait! But why are we here?"
"You said you wanted to have fun, and this was the first ting that came to mind. If I were you, I would put my bad down," he said with his beautiful smile.
I smiled back at him and took my bag off and placed it on the ground behind me.
"Ready?"
Before I could respond, he wrapped his arms around my waist and jumped off the cliff, bringing me with him. I screamed a little when we jumped, but it was probably the funnest thing i have ever done. The water was surprisingly warm. I looked over at Dan and his perfect quiff was falling over. I playfully pushed him and we both laughed.
"Are you gonna tell me about the surprise yet?"
"Nope, not until it happens."
I heard something in the bushes above and my heart started racing.
