Elizabeth and Chris had just been sitting down at a cafe, talking with each other as the sun was slightly setting. It was around nine and the duo had been walking around California for around five hours.

"We should probably be heading back." Lizzie mumbled, her arms were crossed on the table and she had been resting her head down.

"Probably, the hotels only a few minutes away so we could walk, if that's alright with you." Chris offered. She nodded. Chris' eyebrows furrowed and she turned her head back, seeing someone immediately get up and walk inside the cafe.

"What's up?" She questioned, turning back.

"There was this guy, I don't know why he looked familiar, but he did. He was just staring over here, mainly towards you." Chris shrugged, taking a sip of his drink.

"It was probably someone who recognized us." Lizzie replied. Chris nodded in agreement, before glancing at the check that the waitress had left at their table. They were both pretty tired so he stood up.

"Want to leave now?" He questioned, grabbing the check. Elizabeth agreed and the two went inside and paid for their respective meals. Chris and Lizzie were walking out when a hand grabbed Lizzie's forearm and turned herself to look at whoever touched her arm. Chris noticed this and went to pull Lizzie slightly away from their grasp, not wanting who he though was a 'fan' to injure her. She hadn't moved when she saw who had gotten her attention.

"Boyd?" She asked, that's when Chris realized why he looked familiar. He had remembered his photo from a few articles that Lizzie had been in a few years ago.

"Hey Liz, I just saw you and thought it was such a coincidence that I happened to see you. So I came over to say hi." Boyd had a strained smile and something suspicious in his eyes.

"You just happened to see the back of my head as I was exiting? Not caring at the possibility that you could be grabbing a complete stranger?" Lizzie questioned, she had been encountered by multiple paparazzi to be considered gullible.

"Uh," Boyd scratched the back of his neck sheepishly as he looked for an excuse, "I recognized you earlier, just didn't have the balls to come up and talk with you while you were on a date."

She cocked her eyebrow slightly, "You seemed pretty ballsy when you messaged me wanting to meet up." Lizzie defended, Chris gave her a small questioning glance because he didn't know that Boyd had messaged her.

"It's always easier to be a different person online, you know that Liz." He told her.

"Which is why you cheated on me? Cause asking girls for pictures online is so much better than spending time with your girlfriend in real life." Boyd was speechless for a minute as Liz grabbed Chris' hand and the two walked out of the café. They walked back to their shared hotel, making minimal conversation before Chris decided to start another one up.

"You good, Lizzie?" He asked, she nodded. Chris wanted to make sure, so he gave her the time while they walked back.

"That was... oddly relieving." She let out a soft laugh along with Chris, "He finally admits that he's a much bigger asshole offline than on."

"Isn't everyone?" Chris joked and Elizabeth shook her head laughing.

"You're not so bad, Evans." She smiled.

"Is that so?" He teased, playfully smirking at her. She matched his glance, mocking his smirk.

"It's so," she paused for a moment before laughing, "I'm better, though." Chris rolled his eyes in response.

"You keep doing that, your eyes will fall out." She kicked off her sandals and flopped on the couch.

"Wouldn't want that, then I couldn't stare at you." He winked. She resisted the urge to laugh and roll her eyes, simple just shrugging it off.

"You already did, cast photo remember?" He sent her an annoyed glance, though it was clear he was anything but upset. Lizzie stood up and walked closer to him.

"Not that I minded." She kissed his cheek before heading towards the room that she was sleeping in, leaving Chris speechless.

I bet I had people shooketh at the mention of drama in previous chapter

drama: an exciting, emotional, or unexpected series of events or set of circumstances. BETCHA DIDNT EXPECT THAT ;))
