once upon a time: pilot s1:e1

pilot: Chapter 5

Emma kicks the door to her apartment open.  Little small writing on the door outside as if it was part of a fairy tale book. She walks in holding a white bag with God knows what in and she kicks off her fall high heels as she had been wearing them for most part of the night.  The door closes and for a moment she leans Agaisnt the wall thinking about the night and her empty apartment.

She puts the white bag on the table and pulls out a cupcake.  She places it on the counter top that was smack bang in the middle of the apartment surrounded by only two chairs.  The cupcake has white icing on it. She pulls out a blue decoration star and sticks it into the candle. She pulls out a box of matchsticks and lights the star candle.  she turns her head to the side softly making her hair move a little out of the way. She folds her arms and rests then upon the work top just in front if the cake she bought herslef. She rests her head on her right wrist and sighs " another banner year " she closes her eyes and squeezes then tight. She blows the air and makes the flame distinguish. Making a wish.  She sucks futher into her arms for her own comfort,  she then hears the doorbell ring and hwr eyes snap open.

She walks to the door and opens it fully and quickly. She looks in front of her for a few seconds and when she sees no one she looks down to see a little kid before her. She looks him over " uh..." she keeps one hand on the open door and one hand now on the doorframe " can I help you? " she asks.

He looks up at her with a lot of hope and belief in his eyes " are you Emma swan? " he asks.  She keeps her tone neutral " yeah, who are you?
