Emma walks Henry is the garden path to the mayors house.

Henry looks up at her desperately.  Pulling puppy dog eyes "Please don't take me back there."
Emma keeps on walking "I have to. I'm sure your parents are worried sick about you."
Henry shakes his head. She had it all wrong. "I don't have parents. I just have a mom, and she's--evil." he says hesitating a bit on what word to use to describe her. "Evil. That's a bit extreme, isn't it?" Emma says in a high pitched voice.
Henry nods convincingly. He had to make her believe. He wasn't happy. " She is. She doesn't love me; she only pretends to." he says pleasingly.
Emma now turns to him amd bends over a bit to reassure him. "Kid. I'm sure that's not true."

The door opens, to reveal regina mills and Sheriff graham
Regina calls out down the path in a worried voice. She starts walking towards him. " Henry? Uh! Henry! " she runs out amd hugs him "  Are you okay? Where have you been? What happened?" she was clearly upset and worried about him.
Henry pulls back " i found my real mom!" he shouts and runs past her into the house.
Regina looks Emma up and down not quite sure to make of the blonde in front of her. She blinked amd shook her head,  her head leaning back a bit as if she was watching something too close and it was affecting her eyes sight. "You're Henry's birth mother?"
Emma responds nervously " hi" she shifts a bit uncomfortable.

Sheriff Graham who had been stood at the door clears his throat. "I'll.. just.. go check the lad, make sure he's okay. " he goes upstairs to Henry's room to check on him.

Regina looks at Emma once again.  Her curly hair. The red leather jacket and forces out a small smile. "How'd you like a glass of the best apple cider you ever tasted?
Emma put her hands into the front pocket of her jeans and cautiously asks" Got anything stronger?"

Now inside the house; Emma stands in the foyer and Regina enters with a set of glasses. " How did he find me?" Emma asks.
Regina shrugs amd flicks her hair behind her "No idea. When I adopted him, he was only three weeks old. Records were sealed, I was told the birth mother didn't want to have any contact." she tried to intimidate the new woman.
Emma simply nods and replies calmly "You were told right."
Regina thought she'd ask more,  after all it was her job. She holds the glass in one hand and examines miss swan for the third time this night. The next question would reveal lots about her. "And the father?"
Emma answered pretty much the same time as the last " There was one."
Regina nods slowly. She could really to that. "Do I need to be worried about him?" she asks wondering if there were to be any other unexpected arrivals into her town.
Emma looks down at her drink. "Nope. Doesn't even know." she says.
Regina narrowed her eyes " Do I need to be worried about you, Miss Swan?" she says cutting to the chase.
Emma looks into Reginas eyes. "Absolutely not." she mutters coldly as she leans Agaisnt the frame.

Sheriff Graham comes down the stsorsq. His leather boots clicking at them. He holds out his hands as of her was wanting a high five or telling someone to stop. "Madam Mayor, you can relax. Other than being a tired little boy, Henry's fine." he says glancing at Emma.
Regina smiles and nods politely. Her tone instantly softens.  "Thank you, Sheriff. " Sheriff Graham exits and then Emma and Regina make their way into a sitting room.. "I'm sorry he dragged you out of your life. I really don't know what's gotten into him." Regina says to her more wanting to evaluate the blonde rather than be friends with her.

Emma nods and takes a sip of her beer. "Kid's having a rough time. It Happens."
Regina nods in agreement looking st her own poured alcohol. You have to understand, ever since I became mayor, balancing things has been tricky. You have a job, I assume?
Emma shrugs " Uh, I keep busy. Yeah."

Regina laughs slightly to set an light and easy mood so miss swan wouldn't know what hit her. "Imagine having another one on top of it. That's being a single mom. So I push forward. Am I strict? I suppose. But I do it for his own good. I want Henry to excel in life. I don't think that makes me evil, do you?"

Emma smiles "I'm--sure he's just saying that because of the fairytale thing." she laughs.
Regina had no ideas what she was on about " What fairytale thing?" her breath catches in her throat.

Emma keeps going on about it as of it was no big deal. " Oh, you know, his book. How he thinks everyone's a cartoon character from it. Like his shrink is Jiminy Cricket."

Regina was 100% baffled now I'm sorry, I--really have no idea what you're talking about."

Emma puts the glass down on the coaster not wanting to leave a ring on the clearly expensive transparent glass table. " you  know what, it's none of my business. He's your kid. And I really should be heading back."
Regina nods amd forced another right smile. " Of course." she whispers.

Emma leaves, and turns around briefly to find Henry watching her from an upstairs window.
