My Unexpected Love

Chapter 21

Nicoles POV

i don't even know where i was going i just started driving, and i wasn't really planning on stopping until i remembered i got Luke's number yesterday, so i pulled over and called him...

"Hello" he answered

"Hey Luke it's Nicole"

"Hey what's up!"

"can I come over?"

he gave me instructions to his flat and i started driving there right away, it was about 15 minutes away.

When i got there he was waiting outside for me, he sounded really worried on the phone. When i got out of the car i ran to him and just hugged him and cried.

I barely even knew him, why is he being so nice to me? I don't even care right now, it is just so nice to have someone...

when I finally pulled away he asked "what's wrong?"

"Can we go inside and i will explain"

he nodded yes and we both walked into his flat, which was clean, I was not expecting that... and then we both sat on a cream colored couch in the living area.

then i started to talk

"Have you heard of the band One Direction?" i asked

"who hasn't"

"well four years ago i dated one of the members, Louis, and on day we were on a date and i got into an accident.." i started to choke up a bit but i stopped the tears

"Because of the accident i was in a coma for the last four years, i thought he would wait for me but he didn't... I just found out that him and my old best friend just got engaged..."

"Nicole, that's horrible" he said and pulled me into another hug

I don't know why i am telling him all of this, but i needed someone to talk to and Luke seemed like the only person at the moment...

We just stayed like that for while until he finally asked

"Do want to go get some food? of we can just order pizza?"

"Pizza sounds amazing, thanks" i said with a forced smile on my face

after Luke got back from being on the phone, he cam back with some video games in his hand.

"until the pizza comes wanna play some video games?"

"sure, but you are gonna regret it, i am the best at all video games!" i said while smirking

"You've never played against me!"

We started playing and i was losing horribly, i guess i thought i was a lot better at video games than i really am!

"I whipped your ass!"

"well i haven't played for four years so of course you won!"

"excuses excuses..."

"Psh no, i just let you won, i didn't want to hurt your feelings!"

"you did not just go there!"

"yes, yes i did!" i said while he tried to grab me but i ran right out of him grasp, for about ten minutes he just chased me around while we both cracked up until we both heard a doorbell go off...

"truths?" he asked while sticking out his hand

"only because i want pizza!" i replied while shaking his hand

Luke went over to the door and payed the guy and got our pizza

"I got pepperoni if you okay with that"

"i'm vegetarian" i replied with a stern look on my face

"oh i'll order another o-"

"dude calm down it was a joke!" i said while taking a piece of pizza a shoving it in my mouth

"I was gonna say you didn't strike me as that kind of person"

"Hey! what's that's supposed to mean!" i said while giving him a playful hit on the arm

"oww!"

"Come on man up!" i said as he gave me a death stare and i just looked at him and laughed

the pizza was gone pretty fast, i had three pieces and Luke had five, but i'm pretty sure he could of ate more because of his last comment

"I'm still hungry!"

"Then lets  make something!" i suggested

we decided on baking up some cookies, but in the process i ended up spilling some flour in his hair which ended up with him cracking a few eggs on top of my head, and then at that point we just threw every possible thing st each other until there was just about nothing left...

we ended up on the floor laughing our heads off while leaning on the wall, then out of the blue Luke slowly leaned in and kissed me, it felt so wrong, but i kissed him back. The kiss wasn't like me and Lou's, it was rough, unlike when i would kiss Louis our lips would always move perfectly move in sync...

When i pulled away i knew i had to get out of there and just have some time to think...

"Umm i think i need to go home and shower.." i said while running out of the door and getting into my car, thank god i had my keys in my pocket, that would of been so awkward if i had to go back in there!!

When i got back to Kati's place she was waiting for me by the door

"Where have you been!! and what happened to you?" she asked

"I don't want to talk about it." i said while storming off into the shower. I seened like that was the only place to think anymore...

why did i even kiss him back? Did i like him a little? no. i loved Louis, but i don't know i guess Luke could be a good idea... He could really help me get over Louis, i mean he was really nice, funny, and he's not bad on the eyes...

i don't know what to do right now... after i heard Louis's news, I'm not sure if life at all is worth it right now..
