Lauren gripped onto the edge of the hospital bed with one hand and Ty's arm with her other hand as her doctor inserted an amnio-hook inside of her. She took a deep breath in and closed her eyes, keeping her breathing steady.

"Just relax. We're almost done." Dr. Reid told her.

Lauren had gone over her due date by a week and had convinced Ty to let the doctor break her water. After literally doing anything and everything to naturally break her water, nothing had worked, leaving Lauren to become a crying, frustrated mess. She had walking countless amount of hours, left any sugar and salt out of her diet as much as she could, and exercised beyond exhaustion.

Ty was set on letting her water break naturally, but finally caved in after seeing her on the in-home gym floor crying with her head in her hands.

"There's literally less than a month left until the tour starts and I'm already going to miss a few shows and I don't want to have to miss anymore but nothing is fucking working, Ty." Lauren had told him while he held her tired, shaking body and brushed through her hair.

She had told the girls a couple days ago that she would need to skip some shows. They weren't too upset about it because they had already figured she would have to. The girls had told her to take as much time as she needed to recover and spend time with him. Management hadn't been so happy to hear that Lauren was taking her own personal days, but they couldn't do much about it.

A few days after they had all made announcement video saying that Lauren wouldn't be joining them for undetermined amount of show dates due to her being ready to pop. She had promised everyone that she would be preforming as soon as she felt ready again and that she was extremely sorry that she had to miss out. Of course, most of the fans weren't happy with Lauren decision once they had posted it to Instagram. Some of the fans understood, which gave Lauren a lot more courage for what she was doing now.

"You have a strange object inside of me that's poking and pulling at my insides. It's kind of impossible to relax." Lauren told the doctor.

The doctor laughed and shook her head. "I guess relax isn't the right word then? But guess what?" Lauren gripped onto Ty's arm harder as she felt a weird sensation leave her body. "We're done."

Lauren looked over at Ty and then at the doctor who was cleaning Lauren up with a towel. "That's it?"

"That's it. Now you get to go home and relax. By relax I mean actually relaxing, not worrying about work, got it? Go home, lay in bed, and eat something sweet until you feel like it's time to come back in to have the baby. I'm putting you on some hormones to move the contractions along faster. Take them every 2-3 hours."

"I get to go home? But when do I need to come back? How will I know when I need to come back?" Lauren asked as Ty pulled her up into a sitting position.

"When you feel like you can't stand the contractions anymore. It shouldn't be more than two days at the most before your back here, ready to have a baby boy." Dr. Reid said with a smile. "Once you come back, we'll be sure to get you on an epidural as soon as we can. I'm going to go get your pills, I'll be right back."

Once Ty and Lauren were alone he handed her the yellow skirt she had on earlier. "Did it feel weird?"

Lauren looked up at him and nodded. "The whole thing felt weird. It was like a pop and then a lot of water."

"Did it hurt?"

"No, just felt weird and wet." Lauren pulled her skirt over her hips and sat back down. "Ty, he'll be here in the next few days. Can you believe that?"

The thought of only carrying her child for a few short days scared Lauren. She knew she had a long, painful road ahead of her, but all she could do for now was go home and wait it out.
