Amber thanked Hopper for dropping her off at home and watched him drive away. She let her thoughts wandered off about her parents, specifically her dad. Her dad was a little bit like Hopper. They both didn't say much but were very protective of others. Amber bit her lip to force the memory of her dad to be submerged back into her mind.

"Amber, hey, do you want to come to the arcade with us tonight?" Dustin's voice interrupted her thoughts.

Amber turned around, "Um, but that creepy kid better not hit on me again," she warned through narrowed eyes.

Dustin grinned, "But if he won't hit on you then we can't get in for free!"

Amber rolled her eyes, "wow, you're prostituting me out for free games, Dusty? What would your mom think?" she teased and ruffled his curls, causing him to whine.

"Don't touch the hair!" Dustin lightly pushed her off of him, "well I bet you won't be telling my mom that once you hear that she's letting you take the car so you can drive us all there, hmm? Then you can leave and go do whatever the hell you want! I'd say that's a pretty good bargain."

Amber laughed, "fine, I'll go. Get your stuff, tell your friends I'm gonna leave in like five minutes."

Dustin raced inside the house and within three minutes was back out and tossed the car keys to Amber. "We're gonna pick up Lucas and then Mike."

Amber nodded and got into the car and turn it on, the engine humming to life. Dustin slid into the passenger seat counting his quarters and mumbling over his walkie-talkie.

Amber pulled out of the driveway and made her way to Lucas' house and parked, "Hey what about your friend Will? Is he not coming tonight? You didn't mention him needing a ride."

Dustin gave her a tight-lipped smile, "Uh no, his mom is driving him."

Amber nodded, "ah okay," she would have thought that was totally normal until Dustin gave her the fakest grin she had ever seen in her entire life. She was about to question it till Lucas opened the back door and got in.

"Dude you would not believe all the money I got," Lucas practically yelled and shoved a heavy bag of quarters in Dustin's face.

"What the shit!" Dustin screeched and almost flew over the armrest as Amber back out, "How did you get that much!"

Lucas smugly grinned, "I for one actually worked and earned this money."

Amber smiled at Lucas, "Hey good for you," she praised while pulling up in front of Mike's house.

Dustin smacked her lightly on her arm, "Don't praise him! That's not even worth praising!"

Lucas snorted, "Yeah, well what did you do to earn your money? Steal it from Ambers piggy bank?"

Mike opened the door and sat down with a pant, "what's going on?"

Dustin rolled his eyes playfully at his friends, "Lucas is being narcissistic."

Lucas gasped, "I am not!"

Amber chuckled to herself as she drove to the arcade. Her cousin sure had a great group of friends to hang out with. She once did too before the accident, but now she has Charlie and that's good enough for her. She couldn't ask for a better friend than Charlie Sinclair.
