Just By Being You

Part 7

A couple of days later Bucky and Steve was watching the girls cheer practice they were starting to choreograph new routines for their winter competition in January. Bucky was getting frustrated with Natalia he hated the way she treated Presley during practice especially after what happened at the doctor's office. Presley was learning a new stunt where she had to go up in the air do a back tuck land it and go back up and stand on one leg and hold that pose then jump and do a flip. Presley was having a hard time with it and couldn't get her balance when standing on one leg. So Bucky started to record how Natalia was yelling at her and then Presley lost her balance and tumbled to the floor and she screamed and Bucky went running to her and said "Baby look at me what hurts?" She started to cry and grabbed her ankle and Wanda ran outside and got her dad and said "Joe Presley is hurt." 

Joe came running in and saw his daughter crying on the floor holding her ankle and he said "Buck can you help?'

"Yeah I can'." he said 

Steve grabbed both Bucky's and Presley's stuff and carried it to Joe's car and Bucky helped her into her dad's truck and she cried she was in so much pain and he held her close and said "Shh it's ok baby we are going to the ER."

"What happened baby?" Joe said

"She wouldn't stop yelling at me..I can't do every stunt she comes up with." Presley said through tears. 

Bucky said "She yells at her all the time Joe. She puts so much pressure on Presley she does it more to Presley then she does the other flyers." 

Joe sighed and they pulled into the hospital parking lot and got her checked into the ER and Bucky sat on the bed with her. Her ankle was starting to swell and Bucky could see it but he didn't want to say anything. The doctor came in he was Bucky's doctor when Bucky came in for his injuries and he said "Well we met again Presley." Bucky started laughing and said "Hello Dr Brown." 

He slipped off her sock and shoe and said "Oh Presley what happened to cause this." as he saw the swelling and she said "I fell out of the a cheer stunt." He told the nurse "Order some xrays when she gets pack put an ice pack on it."

"I don't think anything is broken it looks more like a bad sprain but we are going to make sure ok." The doctor said 

"Ok. Can I have something for the pain though please?' Presley said 

"Sure once we get done with xrays you can." Doctor Brown said 

Bucky got up as they took her to xrays and when she got back she was in tears cause they had to move her ankle every which to get the pictures. The nurse gave her something for the pain and propped her ankle up with a ice pack on it. They waited for the xrays to come back Bucky sat with her and held her hand and played with her hair and he whispered "Its ok baby he said nothing appeared to be broken...it does look like it's sprained and that's not so bad baby I have had one of those before." She smiled the more he played with her hair the more she was slowly falling asleep. 

"Buck you are starting to put her to sleep." Joe whispered 

Bucky looked down and saw her slowly going in and out of sleep. She loved having her hair played with she whispered "Shut up daddy he's fine." He laughed and kissed the top of her head and he whispered "I love you baby I'm so glad I sit in on your cheer practice.' 

"I love you too." She whispered 

Dr Brown came in and said "Ok Ms Presley." She jumped and Bucky laughed and said "What's result." 

"She's going to be fine just a really bad sprain she needs to stay off of it for two weeks. Keep it iced and elevated as much as you can. No Cheering No dancing for two weeks till it heals up Presley we are going give you some crutches and wrap it up in a ace bandage. Take some Tylenol or IBuprofren for the pain." Dr Brown said
