MY WISH : Highschool

CHAPTER 2: Farewell

She looked up again and her eyes met
with Abhi, who was in a sense of shock and disbelief.
"It's true. I am transferring day after tomorrow and today...is my last day."

Again there was mumbling in the class .

"Hey Kanika, did you knew about it?" A boy from the last seat of the class asked. Kanika didn't spoke anything but her expression told 'yes I know everything but I am feeling like a person caught guilty.'
"Then Abhi, you too knew about it?"
The boy asked again.
Abhi didn't answered, he didn't even listened to what anyone was saying.
He was just looking at Ruhi.
They both stared at each other for while.
Then Abhi got up moved forward towards Ruhi's seat, shoved her copies in her bag, chained her bag, and moved towards Ruhi before grabbing her by her wrist and dragging her outside the class.
"What is happening?"
"Whooh..."
There were murmurings in the class at the scene which happened. 

"Hey! What do you care if Abhi knew or not!!" Kanika yelled at the back bencher boy.

When Ruhi realised what was happening, she was been dragged by Abhi.  What is it? What is he going to do now? Is he going to break up now?
I could see the rage in his eyes when he grabbed my wrist.

She stopped him by freeing her wrist from his grab. He turned around and there was a feeling of anger and disgust in his eyes.
"What was that? Are you having fun playing around like this?" He asked with anger in his eyes.
"I am not playing around.." Ruhi tried to explain.
"Are you really going?" He asked sincerely trying to control his anger.
"Yes..." Ruhi replied looking into his eyes.
"Huh...and you told it today? Like this?"
"Abhinav I-" Ruhi started to explain but Abhi cutted it.
""No I don't give a shit about others mocking at me....but...you... I saw you yesterday...you looked so happy.
I mean how can you be happy!?!"
Abhi yelled at her.
His eyes were wet.
Ruhi also got shaken up and was about to cry out but tried to control.
"I tried to tell you yesterday....and also before...but I didn't got the courage to tell you.... I saw how happy you were....how could I have told you..?" She explained taking her tears in.
"And you managed to look happy? How could you would have done that?" He asked, in a low voice but yet cold, looking into Ruhi's eyes. Ruhi was looking in his eyes unable to say anything. He continued,
"Was it so easy for you?"
Ruhi couldn't control herself. A tear rolled down her cheek but she turned around, because she didn't wanted Abhi to see it.
"No, it was not easy....but I managed to do it...and I know....you...you are going to break up with...so go on... I'm not going to stop you..." She spoke out loud like a kid while sobbing.
"Stupid girl" Abhi mumbled under his breath. He dropped her bag.
Grabbed her arm and pulled her towards himself, making her turn around and falling in him. He hugged her.
It took a while for Ruhi to understand what had happened.
"What are you doing?"she asked trying to pull away. But he didn't let her.
"Stay still."he continued," I am not going to break up with you, I am going to wait for you." He told her, closing his eyes and a tear rolled down his cheek.
She hugged him back then resting in him." I thought you would break up with me."
"No. Never."he replied.

Today she had to. She had to leave early in the morning. She was checking that she had taken everything. Ruhi was feeling really bad about leaving but was happy that at least she was still in a relationship with Abhi. She surely regretted not telling Abhi before but was also happy she didn't.
"Ruhi are you done?" Her mom entered her room.
"Yes, just checking."
"Okay then, I'll be waiting for you outside."
"I'll be there."
Her mom headed downstairs.

"Hmmm..."she took a deep breath.
"I am going to miss everything here....but I'll never forget the warm feeling I had yesterday...."
She chained her back pack and took her suitcase and headed out.

She open the door and BOOM!
"SURPRISE!!!"
Half of her class was outside her house waiting for her in their school uniform. Including Kanika and Abhi.
"OMG. What are you all doing here?"
Ruhi asked. Her eyes widened.
"We came here for your farewell!!" Kanika replied.
"Don't you all have to go school?"Ruhi asked.
"After giving you our final farewell." Abhi replied.
"You have really nice friends." Ruhi's mom commented.
They all hugged and wished
good-byes.
Ruhi became nostalgic.
"I am really going to miss you."said Kanika while hugging Ruhi.
"Me too." Ruhi replied. Both controlling themselves.
"Okay, it's enough now." Abhi interrupted in between making everyone laughing.
Ruhi and Abhi hugged afterwards. Releasing each other with deep smiles.

And after the farewell they headed towards their destination.
