MY WISH : Highschool

CHAP 3: Arrival

They were there after few hours which felt like forever for Ruhi.

Ruhi's P.O.V :

We entered through the big gates of  Starshine highschool. I have been here before but this time it seems different. It looks more amazing or should I say magnificent today. Probably because I never noticed it so closely before because I wasn't interested and most of all because I didn't thought I would be accepted here.😒😒

So anyhow I have been accepted now!

"So mom you picked up my uniform yesterday right??" I asked. Just to confirm.
"Yes I have." She replied exhausted. Probably because of the long...... Drive.
"Do you want to take a look?" She asked a little excited.
"No thanks." Was my quick reply.
"You should at least take a look. You would be surprised!" She said with giving  extra emotions to the word 'surprise'.
I just gave her a 'not interested' look obviously because I didn't wanted to speak much because of exhaustion.
And looked away, out of the window.
That's when something ticked me, my eyes got wide open and I turned at her in shock and confusion.
"You probably don't mean that we have that traditional school dress which can be seen easily in government schools!!"
She just shrugged in reply.
"Mom!!! Û can't do that with me I swear I will not take a step outside the car!!"I yelled at her and crossed my arms in anger.
She just ignored me.
She soon stopped the car when we reached the front of the building.
"Let's go. To the principal office."
She said before removing her seatbelt, getting out of the car and
coming to my door, opening it from outside.
I didn't moved an inch. I mean how can she do this to me. No. I will not go to this school if the uniform is like that. And she can't force me!!

"Don't behave like this. We are already late, it looks the classes have started already." She tried to convince me BUT I ignored her.
"Com'on Ruhi, don't make it look like I am forcing you into hostile." She tried to explain. But I took her words back on her.
"Yes you ARE now. I will make you look bad here now!" I continued, cornering my eyes at her," I am framing you." And I looked away.
"Fine! I assure you that the uniform is nothing like you are thinking." She spilled out at last.
I immediately looked at her.
"Really?" I asked, still not sure to trust her OR not." I swear I am NOT going to go if you betrayed me afterwards."

"Yes. I assure you with all my heart."
She said, putting her hand on her heart.

We started moving into the building.
And I moved my face in all directions, observing everything around me.

"Are you coming the first time?" My mom asked me, before glancing at me once.
"No. I am observing this place the first time. And this place is...ummm... Really.... amazing..." I said reluctantly.
Yes. I hate to mention that this school IS really nicer than my previous one.

After some permissions and all, we were sitting in the principal office.

"Well for today the school has already started and also her homeroom teacher is on a leave today." I knew that we are late but when I glanced at my mom she looked disappointed with this. I don't think it is such a matter for her to be disappointed like this.
"But if you like, we will ask the co-homeroom teacher of her class to do the formalities." Mrs. Bhatnagar,the principal, continued.

"No. I mean I don't want to rush. We can come tomorrow morning at appropriate time and her homeroom teacher will fulfill the formalities." She said. There was a difference from her normal tone. Just probably because she was speaking formally, right?
"That would be okay for you right Ruhi?"she asked me.
I came out of my thoughts,"huh?...yes that is fine with me."

We were soon at the hotel where we got a room.

We refreshed ourselves and I landed onto the bed.
"I thought you would leave me in the hostel today." I said in a low voice shutting my eyes in rest.
"I had planned to do so..but there is no harm if I spend a day with you." She said while resting in the couch she was sitting on.
