"Wake up."
Someone whispered in my ear. Of course it was my mom.
"Just 1 minute..."I replied and turned to the other side, covering my head with my blanket. I didn't really had the energy to even open my eyes.
"Hey...just wake up. Or we will be late again.." she replied back. Pulling my blanket away.
I struggled to pull the blanket up while muttering,"it's not like I really care..".
"It doesn't matter. You have to do this formality." She made a statement this time and managed to pull me up along with the blanket.
"Now take a quick shower, till the time your uniform comes back."
"Where have my uniform gone??" I asked lazily before getting out of bed.
"Will your uniform grow legs and will go for a walk?" She said sarcastically, getting annoyed by my laziness.
"Don't tell me!"I exclaimed, trying to tease her!.
"I send it for ironing." She replied getting a little irritated.
Soon after I got out of bathroom after taking a quick shower. I knew I was late but I wanted to make sure I spend every minute nicely and happily before getting away.
I came out and found a beautiful uniform lying on the bed.
"Tada..."my mom indicated towards the uniform.
Okay. So it had surprised me. It was really beautiful. I can say the best school uniform I have ever seen.
It was a white full sleeves shirt, paired with a black A line skirt with plates and two white stripes at the bottom of the skirt. I could tell the skirt was about 5-6 inches above knee level. And there was a waist length black coloured coat, it was not all black but with some white stripes.
And also knee length black coloured socks with two white stripes at the top.
I didn't said anything but my eyes were wide opened which told everything.
My mom laughed at my reaction and said," told ya, you would be surprised...and yeah it is in your choice to wear those socks daily, you have to wear them in special occasions..."
I looked at her and said, "okay so I would say that you made a really nice choice of the school according to the uniform."
"There is more things which awaits."she winked at me.

We soon reached Starshine High. As we came in the gates. I felt like getting separated with everything. As the tire rolled and we kept coming closer to the entrance, every memory of my old school, my classmates, the teachers, Kanika,....Abhi.... .
Every moment we spend together. Even the saddest.
The happiest.
The so-so.
Every moment.
I felt my eyes burning but I blinked hard to cool down.The car stopped.
The entrance awaits.
"Ready."my mom took my hand and squeezed it slightly.
I looked at her, she was smiling brightly. I looked at her as if trying to remember every slight detail of her face. Her smile.
I felt my eyes burning again. Tears threatening to fall down. I blinked again to fight back my tears.
At last I smiled back and nodded.
It was more of a sad smile.
She recognized the sad smile and my habit of blinking my eyes.
She placed her hand on my face messaging my cheek with her thumb." You don't need to hide it....I know..that it is difficult.. I'm sorry..".
She apologized, choking her voice at the last and then looked down at our hands.
I rubbed my eyes with my other hand. As I knew that seeing me week makes her week, and seeing her week makes me more week. I took my other hand and held her hand between both my hands.
"Mom, you don't need to be sorry....u have suffered enough for me...I can do this much for you." I said and tried to smile.
