Chapter 8

Secret

"Then what is?"

"If I told you, that would defeat the purpose of a secret." He rolls his eyes.

"Right, right. So.. What are we supposed to do now? Go back to school?"

"Why do you want to go back to school so bad?" He stands up and throws his backpack over his shoulder.

"W-well I mean there's an important test today and I-"

"Bullshit. You just don't trust me because I've got a secret. Newsflash bubbs: everyone's got something to hide."

He heads across the street. I'm assuming he's going home. If not some other creepy garden thing..

But really, I did trust him. In fact, he's the only one I've trusted in a while. Just something about him tells me he understands.

"Frank wait! That's not it!" I pace towards him.

He reluctantly turns around, standing about two inches away from my face.

"Then what is."

"I-"

"SPIT IT OUT!!" He screams at me, dropping his backpack forcefully and stepping closer towards me, so much as his nose presses against mine.

"I THINK WE HAVE THE SAME SECRET." I scream back, voice cracking slightly. He doesn't even flinch. Meanwhile I'm shaking at the knees. I can feel the tension building up between our bodies, and wonder if he can feel it too.

I feel his breath on my neck and notice he's breathing faster every second.

"Don't. Fucking. Yell. In. My. Face." He says, shoving me once between every word.

"You. Did it. First." I too shove him at each pause. Although my attempts at shoving are failures, he's like a rock.

He runs at me shoving me against a brick wall. But right before I hit the brick he slowed down, as if he was making sure I wouldn't get hurt too bad. Just enough to give me a pounding migraine.

His voice deepens and he moves his arms onto my chest.

"You really want to know my secret that bad. Don't you." He licks his lips like he's preparing them for a meal.

I swallow and shrug my shoulders.

"ANSWER ME." Frank demands.

He grabs two fist-fulls of my shirt and slides me up further onto the wall.

I nod quickly and flinch at the impending pop to the mouth I'm about to get.

He lets go of my shirt, letting me slide down from the wall.

I close my eyes tightly and my whole body tenses up

This is gonna hurt.

Frank's POV:

If he wants to know my secret so bad, he's gonna find out.

Right. Now.
