the next morning we all woke up and everything was calm.
we were still trying to process what happened last night.
everything remained calm until maggie and sasha came back.
"everyone, this is aaron" maggie said entering the barn with a stranger between her and sasha.
i immediately raised up my bow with an arrow ready to shoot. dad ran for the barn door to see if there was anyone outside and i was quickly on his trail. "it's nice to meet you" aaron said slightly walking towards rick.
everyone cocked their guns while dad and i kept our bows raised.
"you said he had a weapon?" rick asked. maggie handed over his pistol. rick examined it and looked back at aaron. "rae" he said holding out the gun. i walked over, grabbed it, and put it in my waist band.
"what do you want?" Rick asked. "he has a camp, he wants us to audition for membership" sasha answered.
"i wish their was another word, um, audition makes us sound like we're some kind of dance troup, that's only on friday nights" aaron said slightly laughing. i tilted my head.
"and it's not a camp, it's a community. i think you all would make valuable additions, but it's not my call. my job is to convince you to follow me back home. i know, if i were you i wouldn't want to go either. not until i knew exactly what i was getting into." aaron said then looking over at sasha.
"sasha, can you hand rick my bag?" he asked. rick got the bag and pulled out pictures of aaron's camp. aaron continued to blabber on until rick knocked him out.
rick lectured the group while dad and i searched aaron. we eventually decided to split off to see if aaron was lying. "rae, come on. we got the place covered" dad said to rick and i. dad and i then jogged out of the barn.
the rest of the remaining group followed behind us.the whole group was now back in the barn. we are now debating if we should go to aaron's community. "if anyone thinks differently, speak now" michonne states.
"i don't know man, the story sounds like horse shit" dad said. "reagan?" michonne asked. I'm basically the groups decision maker, because rick trusts me the most.
"i don't know. from what it looks like, it could be an amazing opportunity. but, I have to agree with dad. this whole thing seems too good to be true." i said. everyone's eyes faced me. "we're going" rick said.
rick then tried to convince aaron to let him drive there. "we cleared 16, not 23" aaron said to rick. rick looked back at me.
"we're takin' 23" i stated with a straight face. "ok everyone, this is going to be a long night. get some rest if you can." rick said walking off. i followed him.
"rick, are you sure about this?" i asked. "rae, I know i usually leave these decisions to you, but trust me on this one. and you need to get some rest. you're sticking with me tonight." he said. " "ok" i said nodding. he patted my shoulder as i went over to dad.
he was opening a can of spaghetti as i leaned back against a hay bale. once he got it open, he took a slurp then handed it to me. i took a slurp also and handed it back to him. i then rested my head on his shoulder and started to daze off.
once evening approached, our whole group went outside. "rae, michonne, glenn, you're sticking with me. the rest of you go in the rv." rick said. i walked over to my dad as he approached me with a bear hug. rick followed behind me.
once dad released the hug, he put his hand on rick's shoulder. they nodded to each other, then dad walked to the rv. carl gave his dad a hug and said goodbye. then he came over to me and we embraced eachother in a hug. "i love you" he whispered to me. "i love you too" i whispered back.
