that night i just sat outside by myself. i miss my dad and honestly all i was thinking about was him.

i sat on the front porch just admiring my bow that i had sitting in my lap. right as i started thinking about my dad again, i heard a rustle in the woods.

i sprung up and slowly made my way to the sound. that's when a person made themselves noticeable. "daddy!" i said out of joy as i threw down my bow and started sprinting towards him.

i jumped up into his arms and he held me in the air. "thank god you're back" i said burying my face in the crook of his neck. "i ain't leaving again, not without you" he said giving me a kiss on the cheek then sitting me down.

"where's carol?" i questioned. he stayed silent for a second. my mind immediately went to the worst. "come on out" he said calling out to someone in the woods.

the next morning we spent securing the church.

dad also introduced us to noah, he brought him back when they look looking for beth. carol got taken by the same people as beth, they're apparently at some kind of hospital.

carl and i get along with him pretty well, probably considering there isn't that much of an age gap. he's only like 3 years older than me. noah's been helping also. carl, him, and i have been boarding up the windows outside. dad has been using the organ as 'walker spikes' outside.

noah wanted to go to atlanta to get beth and rick agreed. this was also our chance to get carol back as well.

rick isn't taking that many people. dad, tyreese, and sasha. atleast that was the original plan.

"can i go?" i asked dad and rick at the same time. rick ran his fingers through his hair. "i don't know rae" he said. "please?" i asked desperately. rick looked back at my dad and he nodded. "fine" he said sighing.

we gathered up everything we needed and started to head out. but before we did, i went over to carl to say goodbye.

"please be careful, i-i would hate myself if something happened to you and i wasn't there to stop it" carl said all panicky. "i'll be fine, i have my dad and your dad. and you know them two ain't gonna let anything happen. and i'm not planning on leaving you anytime soon, we need eachother" i told carl. he nodded and then pulled me in for a hug.

"you ready reagan?" rick called out. "yeah!" i said back letting go of carl. "i love you, i'll be back soon" i said quietly to carl before running off to my dad.

on the way to atlanta, we took a storage truck. i sat in the front with dad and rick while sasha and tyreese were in the back. but since there was only two seats in the front, i sat in my dad's lap. he didn't mind though.

close to the hospital where beth was apparently being held against her will, we found an old building and found it the perfect place to make a game plan.

"at sundown we fire a shot into the air. get two of them out on patrol. then once it's dark enough that the rooftop spotter won't see us, we go. we cut the locks on one of the stairways, take it to the fifth floor. i open the door, daryl takes the guard out with reagan as backup if needed" rick ordered. "how?" tyreese questioned.

"he slits his throat. this is all about us doing this quiet, keeping the upper hand. they're not excepting us. from there, we spread out. knifes and silences weapons. we need to be fast" rick ordered. then he started drawing on the dust/dirt on the ground to give us a visual on how we are gonna do this.

"tyreese and sasha, take them" rick said drawing a couple of x's on the top left corner of the sketch he drew. "daryl, reagan, you take care of whoever is in the kitchen. i got dawn. if they're smart, the rest of them will give up then, and it'll be five on three. six on three once we get a weapon to beth" rick said laying out the game plan.
