Chapter 1

I would love feedback on my writing or grammar mistakes or maybe ideas for the next chapter! Please keep in mind that this is my first book I'm actually writing myself. So I guess here goes nothing...here's chapter 1...

Astrid's POV

I knocked on the door to Hiccup's house three times now, but no one answered. "Hiccup?!" I called,"open this door right now!"

"Well, I guess if he's not going to open it, I'll open it myself," I muttered, so I kicked down the door. He's probably not going to be happy about that, I thought.

I ran upstairs to his room and found him asleep. Being chief has been really hard on him ever since he defeated Drago. I shook him awake and he shot up in bed.

"WHAT HAPPENED?!" he screamed.

"Nothing, you just overslept," I replied.

"Well then we'd better get to dragon racing!" he said and smiled. I love it when he does that. I kissed him lightly on the cheek. We ran out the door, got on our dragons, and headed to the race.
