The darkest minds [Pt. 3]

~Peter's POV~

Y/n left. I was honestly terrified of her. She could control me and do anything to me at any point without touching me. That's hella terrifying!!

But ignoring that part where she ran away, there were helicopters circling above us. There was five of them. There's only three of us now. How are we suppose to do this?!

"Peter, you make their copters crash! I'll get Kelsey to use her powers to shoot them down so we can get to them faster!" Winston yelled to me.

I looked over to him, "Got it!"

I built up my powers to their highest point. Once I was ready, I put all my force into getting the helicopters down. I took one and shot it at the mountain. It went crashing and the people inside went falling down. I took another helicopter and the same thing happened.

But I couldn't keep up and Kelsey was too scared to do anything. Winston was being seriously stupid at this point, somehow. And now we're all trapped.

"Stop what you're doing or we will shoot!" One guys shouted.

There was at least ten people surrounding us. We were just standing in the middle with our hands up.

Shit shit shit. We're done.

"You kids are coming with us whether you like it or not!" They yelled.

"Hey!" I heard someone yell from the forest.

I looked over and saw it was y/n.

~Your POV~

"Hey!" I yelled coming out of the forest.

I walked next to everyone else.

"What the hell are you doing here? I thought you ran off." Peter said.

"Yeah well, cant leave friends behind." I said smirking.

I looked at the people surrounding us and they were holding guns up to us.

"You're coming with us too!" They yelled.

"Oh...I don't think you really want to do that." I said.

"Why not? You're not powerful enough to take us on!" They yelled.

"Oh, didn't you mother every teach you to not judge a book by its cover?" I asked.

My eyes turned orange.

"She can control us! Back down, back down!" They yelled.

I started controlling them.

"Drop your weapons." I said as I closed my hand and made it a fist.

I started walking around to every one of them.

"You will go back to the government and tell everyone that nothing is wrong and to let all the kids free and to let them go the the safe camps they are setting up. You will not come out of this trance ever! You will take all the kids and let them be free, forever!" I yelled.

I closed my eyes and blew on both my fists to lock the trance forever. I let it go and my eyes went back to normal. The people went in the helicopters and flew away. My hair was flying around the whole time.

Once they left I turned back to them. They were staring in fear. Tears started building up in my eyes.

"Pack your things and go to wherever it is that your going to where the kids can live freely. I need to turn myself in to the government. I can't be here anymore." I said.

A tear slipped down my cheek. I wanted to hug peter so much, but I couldn't. He was scared of me, so I couldn't scare him more.

But before I could move, I felt arms wrap around my waist. I didn't hesitate to hug the person. It was peter, I just knew it. But I didn't know why he was hugging me.

I pulled away from him and I looked him in the eyes. He crashed our lips together. I didn't hesitate to kiss back. My hands tangled in his hair. His hands made their way to my cheeks and he held my face in his palms. His hands were warm and soft, considering being out here for so long and trying to survive out here.

He pulled away. I could tell my cheeks were tear stained. He smiled slightly at me. He wiped the tears away and pecked my lips.

"You're amazing." He said.

"You're more amazing." I said, "Now let's stop before it gets too cheesy."

He chuckled and nodded.

I kissed his cheek and hugged him.

"Are you still afraid of me?" I asked.

"Of course not. Just don't ever control me." He said.

I chuckled.

"Trust me, I won't. Ever. I promise." I whispered.

He sighed. I pulled away from him and he kissed my nose. I walked back to Winston and Kelsey.

"Are you guys afraid of me?" I asked.

"Afraid of what just happened with you two, yes. Afraid of you, no." Winston said.

I chuckled and rolled my eyes playfully.

"Kelsey?" I asked.

"Nope." She said.

I smiled and hugged her. I even hugged Winston.

I turned back to peter.

"Are we ready to go? We've gotta get there before the kids do." I said.

They all nodded. We packed up everything and put it in the van. Winston drove and Kelsey sat in the front. I sat in the back with peter. I was tried and cold at one point and he noticed.

He grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around me and I just laid down on his lap. I drifted off to sleep.
