Secrets [Pt. 2]

~Your POV~

It was the end of the day. I gathered my things and walked home with Peter.

We arrived at the fire escape and climbed up. We entered through my window. We sat down and did some homework.

"So how did he job interview go?" He asked.

"It didn't go really well. I don't think I got the job." I said.

"Oh, well better luck next time, right?" He said.

"Yeah....next time." I said under my breath.

He didn't hear it. We continued doing homework. I wasn't struggling too much with it though, and I think peter caught on.

"It doesn't really seem like you need help with science." He said.

"Well this parts easy, but I know soon it will get harder." I lied.

He shrugged.

"I need a break from this. I'll be right back. Orange juice, ice tea or water?" I asked.

"Orange juice." He said.

I nodded. I walked out and into the kitchen. I grabbed two glasses and filled them both with orange juice.

I took a sip of my drink and just stood there.

"Why did I let peter come over. I should be out fighting crime." I whispered to myself.

It feels weird not being in my suit all day.

I heard a scream coming from my room.

Shit.

I ran back to my room. I saw peter in shock, staring at the floor in the corner of my room. I looked down and saw my suit laying on the floor. I grabbed it and threw it in my closet.

I shut the door fast and stood by it.

"I would say you didn't see anything, but you obviously saw something." I said.

"Uh Yeah, no shit Sherlock." He said.

I groaned. I walked over to him and grabbed his hand. I sat him down on my bed.

"Look, I didn't ever tell you because if you found out who I really was, then you wouldn't be safe." I said, "I can't risk losing another person I love."

"But I could've protected myself anyway. I know what's coming." He said.

"Trust me, you don't." I said.

"But I do. And now that I know, I have a lot of questions." He said.

"Ugh, whatever just don't piss me off, ok?" I asked.

"No promises." He said and smirked.

I rolled my eyes and we finished the homework.
