Camp [pt. 2]

~Your POV~

The Emma girl was showing me around camp a little bit. I met so many different kids.

"And woodchuck cabin has another available space open, the other girl didn't want to go to camp. So now you have a chance to transfer here." She said.

"I would love that. But, I am supposed to be at camp champion so I can't transfer here. The camp has a whole contract to go there, it's ridiculous." I said.

"Well then just rip it up." She said.

"You really don't get how contracts work, do you?" I asked.

Just then, someone ran into me and I fell down. I banged my head.

"Oww." We both said.

I looked and saw it was Peter. He started blushing heavily. He wasn't doing anything.

"Can you get up? You're on top of me." I said.

He quickly stood up.

"Right sorry. A-are you ok?" He asked.

"Yup, just banged my head." I said.

He nodded.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine." He said.

"Peter! Bring the ball back!" A kid yelled.

"I've gotta go. See yah around." He said.

I smiled and nodded.

I turned back to Emma.

"Looks like you two have a little thing going." She said.

"What are you talking about? Peter wasn't even my friend before camp happened. Now all of a sudden we're talking. I don't know what's gotten into him to actually start talking to me."

"Well, just start talking more and soon things will happen. That's what happened with me and Xander." She said.

I nodded, "Thanks but, if you're talking about being boyfriend and girlfriend like that, I just don't think I'm ready for that stuff again. I just got out of a pretty rough and abusive relationship recently back in queens, I don't think I can really trust someone that fast ever again."

"Take your time with it, just start making small talk and grow the trust, then maybe one of you will make a move." She said.

I smiled, "Thanks for the advice."

We walked and talked and, dare I say, we actually became friends. I became friends with like everyone at camp. I never really got to talk to peter.

Tonight they invited me to their camp fire. Obviously I'm going. I'd rather chill by the fire than still work out at camp. I stayed at their camp the whole day.

"You excited for tonight?" Emma asked me.

"Yes. It's nice to relax at least once at night." I said.

"What did you guys do at night?" She asked.

"We would stay awake until midnight and during that time we would be working out and then we would wake up at four and start working out and playing games again. It's annoying because I don't get much sleep at my own house because of school." I said.

"Oh, well I think you should really transfer here." She said.

I shrugged, "I'll think about it."

We walked outside and he fire was already lit. We walked to the bench and sat down next to each other. We kept talking still. My phone was in my back pocket, I always have it in me especially when I have to escape from the kids at camp.

I started at the fire and enjoyed it. We never have camp fires back at camp champion.

I don't know if he really noticed because he was talking to friends, but Peter sat down next to me.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." He said and started blushing again, "A-are you enjoying t-this camp?"

"Yeah, I'm thinking about trying to transfer. But I don't know." I said.

"Well you really should." He said.

"You think so? Why?" I asked.

"Because we could finally get closer." He said.

Now I'm the one starting to blush. I have had a mini crush on peter for a while but I just thought he would never want to date someone like me. I don't deserve him anyway.

"Alright campers, let's sing the kikiwaka song now." Xander said.

He grabbed his guitar and started playing.

"Here we go, we're leaving the city behind right now, let's gather by the camp fire light and sing this song. Kikiwaka!" He started singing.

Everyone joined in including peter. I just sat and listened.

Once the song was over, peter grabbed my hand and let me to the spot.

We stopped and stared at each other in the eyes. He didn't hesitate and just kissed me. I didn't pull back.

His arms snakes around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

The kiss was pretty heated. It was so passionate. We both pulled away. I rest my forehead on his. We were both breathing heavily.

"That. Was. Awesome." He said.

"Agreed." I said, "But I don't get it, I thought you didn't like me like that."

I pulled away and so did he. He held both my hands.

"I know it didn't seem like it, but that's only because....you're the most popular girl in school and I'm just a nobody. I didn't think you would notice anyone like me." He said.

"Are you kidding me? I've had such a huge crush on you for the longest time. I just wasn't ready to have a boyfriend yet after what happened with flash...." I said.

He looked away, a sad expression painted on his face.

"But now I think I'm ready." I said.

He looked at me and smiled. I slowly kissed him again.

"Alright that's enough of the romance stuff for today I'm over this." Zuri said.

I just looked over, I was still holding hands with peter.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked.

"Witnessing the best thing of my life." Emma said with a hand over her heart.

"Hey!" Xander yelled.

"Oh come on, don't tell me this isn't perfect." She said.

Xander just shrugged.

"Did you think about transferring yet?" Emma asked.

I nodded.

"I'm going to talk to my mom and get her to transfer me over here." I said.

They all celebrated.

"You won't regret it." Lou said.

"Yeah...I know I won't." I said looking at peter again.

He smiled. We hugged and soon everyone joined in.

"Just one thing, you'll need some kikiwaka camp shirts." Emma said.

"Oh, yeah, I forgot I was wearing this." I said.

"You're gonna have to burn those shirts." Zuri said.

We all laughed and headed back to camp. I was sleeping over here tonight.
