A/N okay I'm so sorry about this one, it's going to have some of my OC's. I usually don't write with them, but in finding out that it is canon Michael has two moms, I couldn't help myself. The Mell family consists of Jo, Sarah, and six-year-old Michael. Hope you enjoy!

(Third Person)

Sarah lounged on her bed—the bed she shared with her wife—sketching who knows what; she'd taken a half day because she'd been working non-stop for the past few weeks, and she really just wanted to spend time with her family.

Jo had gone to pick Michael up from kindergarten, and then two talked only a little, mostly about how their days went.

"Babe! I'm home!" Jo shouted upstairs, so naturally Sarah shut her notebook and went downstairs.

"Hello," Sarah hummed and held Jo's waist, resting her head on the taller girl's shoulder. "And how was your day, Mia?"

"I showed my friends my dollar from the tooth fairy!" Michael smiled and looked up at his parents.

"That's very good," Sarah nodded and let go of her wife, bending over to scoop up Michael. "How about we let Momma get some dinner ready and go watch some cartoons?"

He nodded and waved goodbye to Jo, who smiled as the two walked away and started to cook.

Sarah sat on the corner part of the couch and Michael, wrapped in his favorite blanket, layed his head on his mom's lap as the rest of his body was sprawled one cushion of the couch.

"Mommy?" Michael looked up to his mom during the commercials.

"Yes, darling?" Sarah twirled Michael's thick dark hair in her fingers.

"Is it okay that I'm.. girly?" He fidgeted with his hands when he asked.

"Girly?" Sarah raised an eyebrow but felt her heart do a flip—not in the good way.

"W-well, I like flowers, and froyo, and I have princess mac 'n cheese instead of the Ninja Turtle kind.. And I hate the color green," he said with a scrunched up face.

"Hmm.. Do you think Mom is weird because she likes boy stuff? Like baseball and basketball and cargo shorts?"

"Cargo shorts?"

"Never mind. The point is, it's fine to like whatever you want, okay darling? It doesn't make you weird just because you like flowers. Flowers are really pretty!" Sarah giggled and gestures to the hydrangea plant that was in the room.

"Yeah.. Thanks, mommy."

"Of course," she smiled and continued playing with his hair.

They watched cartoons in a comfortable silence for a few more minutes, until Jo came up with three plates full of food. "Just a lil something, I was too hungry to have the patience to make anything else," Jo explained as she gave each of the a plate. Michael sat up and took his plate, Sarah took hers and put in on a pillow then rested it in her lap, and Jo sat close to Sarah and held her plate.

"Oh yes, so tired from your one hour baseball practice with middle schoolers," Sarah teased.

"One and a half hours! And you took a half day, so you should've cooked!" Jo retorted.

"But me and my baby boy need to talk, I barely see him!" Sarah said and held Michael with an arm.

"Yeah! Mommy and I needed to talk," Michael chimed in, clearly taking his side.

"Well I see how it is! Looks like no dessert tonight you two!" Jo snickered.

"No wait! I want dessert!" Michael told Jo and furrowed his eyebrows.

"Well, mean Momma won't give you dessert, but I will," Sarah offered, making Michael smile brightly and clasp his hands together.

"Insufferable. You should be so happy I love you," Jo mumbled to her wife in fake anger. Sarah smiled and pecked her cheek, making both of them blush like it was their first kiss on the cheek.

They ate on the couch, with some more small talk and also a small fight about Michael not eating his broccoli. But, they ended up finishing and the Mells raced downstairs to see who could get their dish in the sink quick enough.

Michael sat on the island countertop while Sarah scooped them some ice cream, and Jo was holding onto Sarah's waist and leaning against her back.

"Moms? Can I tell you a secret?" Michael looked to his parents with a little bit of excitement.

"Sure," Sarah said softly.

"B-but you can't tell Rich or Christine or anyone, because then they'll be jealous!" Michael squeaked.

"I don't think we'll have a problem keeping your secret," Jo chuckled and walked over to their son, Sarah following with bowls of ice cream.

"I have a boyfriend!" Michael whisper-yelled.

"Oh yeah? Who?" Sarah smiled and looked to Jo happily.

"Jeremy! He even told me we're gonna get married someday!" Michael squealed and started to blush.

"Oh, that's good!" Sarah rubbed Michael's back and suppressed a giggle. Which Jo couldn't do.

"My boy's got a kindergarten boyfriend," Jo laughed and squeezed her wife.

"So I was wondering if I could take him to get ice cream!? I can even be a gentleman and pay with my tooth fair money!" Michael looked eagerly between his parents.

"Of course you can, darling. I'll call Mr. Heere later," Sarah softly said and leaned against her wife, smiling proudly at their baby boy.
