wanted.
that was the only word eddie could use to describe that moment. he felt wanted. the one thing he had always wished for came true.
it seemed as time froze when their lips meet one another, the universe was admiring its doing of bringing them together. yet time doesn't stay frozen, it continues to tick and soon enough it runs out, good things come to an end.
after the kiss the two boys stared in each others eyes completly mesmerized. they were admiring the beauty of one another's features in the moonlit room.
"you're beautiful," richie spoke softly.
"thank you rich, you aren't so bad yourself" eddie responded giving a small smile which sent the butterflies in richie's stomach into a full on frenzy.
they slept in the same bed right next to eachother cuddled up, no words were spoken for the rest of the night only silent love was in the air. if only they knew the true horror that has yet to come.
eddie woke up alone, richie was no longer by his side. eddie has no idea where he went after checking everywhere for the young boy and he couldn't ask around because richie was his little secret.
eddie ended up in the kitchen while he was on the search for richie only to be met with his foster parent.
"your boy toy is gone." they spoke sharp and had an awful tone.
eddie could feel his stomach drop and he knew that was the feeling of want leaving along with richie.
he had no idea how to react, he only thought to go back to his room and sleep hoping he won't wake up. while he was crying he noticed a piece of paper under the same pillow richie was laying on.
eddie grabbed it and flipped it open to be meet with a note,
i'll see you again, i swear.

the only thing eddie was left with now was a tear stained note, loneliness, and the sound of his own sobs.
the feeling of want was stripped as soon as he got a small taste of it.
the universe works in mysterious ways and that's the only thought running through eddie's mind. he fell asleep with swollen eyes and thoughts about what else the universe will throw at him.
