2 weeks had passed since oliver had arrived. oliver has became eddies other half, his right hand man. he loved oliver but it was a brotherly love, it was as if he used oliver to fill that void that was so deep inside of him.

but regardless of how much time they spent together, how much of a connection they had—oliver could never replace what eddie and richie had. eddie and richies feeling was nothing near platonic, eddie carried the weight of that everyday. eddie continuously cried himself to sleep silently he couldn't risk being caught by anyone.

on one of the many late nights him and oliver had there was a sudden knock on their door interrupting their deep conversation about whether the earth was flat or not. they look at eachother with scrunched eyebrows, "come in" oliver spoke quitely which was followed by the sound of the door squeaking as it opened.

to their surprise two officers walked into their bedroom, a femal officer glanced at both of them, "may we speak to eddie?" she asked politely. oliver looked over at eddie and he could see the fear in his eyes, "w-what for?" eddie responded on the edge of tears. the male officer responded, "can you step into the hallway please?" . eddie got off his bed slowly along with walking slowly out into the hall, he was shaking so hard he thought he was going to collapse.

"w-what's g-g-going on?" eddie was no longer on the verge of tears, he was in tears.

the femal officer glanced at the male officer, you could tell her heart was breaking from the news she was about to tell. she spoke softly in a comforting manner, "eddie," she put her had on his shoulder "i'm going to need you to stay strong, okay?" she looked into eddies glassy eyes, "o-o-okay," eddie responded trying to stop himself from crying.

she kneeled down to make herself the same height as eddie, "the jury voted in favor of-" the officer choked on her words, she was also on the verge of tears.

the male officer gently squeezed her shoulder and kneeled down as well, "son, the verdict was in favor of sending you back with your mother." he said it quickly and tried making it as painless as possible.

both officers watched as eddie sobbed intensely and began shaking uncontrollably, one moment his conscious was there but the next it flew into the night and he was out cold.

all he saw was darkness.
