three-gray?

(still continuing in the same time skip)

I wake up it's 7:48 am I barely got any sleep.

I keep checking Ethan but he's still the same, in a medically induced coma.

I look at his neck and arm tattoos, to keep myself occupied.

I look on my phone for a little bit.

Until I got a call.

"Hello?" I said.

"Yes, Mia?" A woman said.

"Yes, um I'm Ethan's mom"

"Oh yes right Mrs. Dolan, hi"

"Hi, so I will be on my way as soon as possible"

"Okay"

"Okay bye, bye"

I see a bunch of text notifications from the group-chat

caramel: Mia???

grachie: where is she

ty: idk I saw her driving off

mia: guys I'm fine I'm at the hospital.

caramel: omg what happened

grachie: are u okay?

ty: wtf

mia: guys I said I'm fine. Ethan, he fell on my shoulder and then he started foaming at the mouth, and I took him to the hospital.

caramel: thank god your okay

grachie: we were really worried.

mia: 💘🤧

ty: love you 💕

mia:  love you too guys ❤️😭

caramel: 💓💗

ty: wait so where are you now?

mia: I'm in the room with him

caramel: how?
grachie: ^
ty: ^^

mia: I lied saying I was his sister.

A woman and another man come in.

"Are you Mia?" The woman asks.

"Yes," I replied.

"I'm Lisa and this is Sean, we are Ethan's parents," Lisa says.

"Nice to meet you," I said shaking their hands.

"You too," they said in unison.

"Whats wrong with him?"

"The nurse told me that he's in a medically induced coma, caused by his overdose on Oxycodone, twelve of them" I explain.

they sit down in the chairs next to Ethan, Lisa seems scared and nervous.

I realize that I'm still in my party clothes.

"We were at a party and I saw him sitting at the pier staring off at the distance until he fell on my shoulder foaming, and I drove him to the hospital, I lied saying I was his sister" I explain.

"Thank you for bringing him here," Lisa says.

I nod.

"Hun why don't you go home and change into some normal clothes," Lisa says.

I nod as Sean has a terrified look on his face.

Lisa calms Sean down as I leave the room to go and get changed.

I drive to Graci's house cause that's where we slept over.

I knock on the door.

Graci answers.

I walk in to get my spare clothes.

"hey I'm just getting my clothes and heading back to the hospital," I said.

"Okay," she said rubbing her eyes.

I grab my book-bag with the clothes in quickly change into the sweatpants and black hoodie and slide my slides on.

"How is he?" Graci asks.

"he's alright, I guess I don't know honestly they have him in a medically induced coma"

"Yikes," She winced.

"What?" I asked.

"Mia it could be days, weeks, months, or years until he wakes up the medically induced coma is the same as a normal coma except the put you in it on purpose"

I just stand there with my outfit in my hand shook.

"I'm going to get some Starbucks now," I say walking out of the room.

I get my usual Venti smores frappuccino with a birthday cake cake pop.

I text Lisa asking if she wanted anything from Starbucks.

She declined, I drive back to the hospital going up to Ethan's room.

The room looked bland, dull, gloomy.

Sean nods.

"Thank you," Sean says tearing up.

Lisa walks back in from using the bathroom.

"Cameron is coming home from SCAD in a while she just texted that her plane landed" Lisa say comforting Sean.

"Cameron is our oldest one, Ethan's sister"

I nod.

"Are you new to town?" I ask.

"Yeah we just moved from Los Angeles during the summer," Lisa says.

"Yeah,  I was wondering because I've never seen Ethan around school"

"Before he started foaming, he was crying about his twin brother Grayson" I question.

"Yeah, he um passed away today a year ago" she croaked.

"I'm so sorry" I apologized.

"It's fine it wasn't your fault Mia," she says wiping a tear.

"He-erm was bullied and he never told us or anything we never realized he was so unhappy with his life that one day he"

"shot himself," Sean says finishing the sentence.

I raise my eyebrows.

"I'm so sorry for your loss," I say hugging Lisa.

She cries on my shoulder as Sean is comforting her.

Lisa's phone buzzes.

She checks it.

"Cameron is here" she smiles slightly.

Lisa waits for her by the door.

And she arrives.

I lied to Lisa telling her I was Ethan's girlfriend.

I don't think she would have understood that we are friends with benefits...
