it was the middle of the year i had managed to pull my grades up to the minimum, or so to passing. ethan has invited to me another party, i declined until graci and carmelita said that they were going because it was a pool party. i decided to attend once again for a reward of being responsible for my grades.

i threw my adidas on grabbing a towel along with my sunglasses. it was a saturday afternoon the temptature was around 80 degrees. i had told my mom i was going over to graci's house and we were getting in the pool and that i'll be back by curfew of 11.
i drove to a coffee shop getting a iced coffee and going to graci's house. "hey" she said opening the door. "hey, where's your mom?" i asked. "conference in santa clarita" she shrugged. "cool, you ready" i asked following her into her room. "yeah, just getting my sunscreen." she replied.
we went to pick up carmelita and of course the party was at a preppy school rich kid's house. i looked closer as i found out it was brianna's house. of course why didn't i think of it? immediately my gut was saying not to go in but it was too late.
we enter inside as there's a bubble machine going with some flashing lights and light music. i sat my stuff down on the kitchen table as i entered the ginormous backyard with graci and carmelita. i snagged a couple of chairs into the sun and sat closer to the pool as brianna decided to shoot a couple of dirty looks towards us.
ethan was in the pool with a bottle of beer, he looked dead to be honest. his eyes met mine and we swam closer towards me. "hey" he slurs. "hi" i awkwardly greet back. "thought you weren't coming" he says. "yeah i like pool parties, i guess" i shrugged grabbing a beer and drinking it. he nodded observing my features.
"what are you on today?" i asked. "beer is my calling for right now til i get the nauseous feeling out of my system" "i don't really think that's going to help considering the hangover you're going to have" i smile. "babygirl i ain't a light weight like you" he smirks swimming away toward his friends."god how did you get a guy like him?" graci asked. "so fuckin hot" she gushed.
