All I can say is that I am so sorry.
This chapter is kinda short but I thought I should get something out to you guys.
On that note I have a question for you all- would you guys prefer shorter chapters more frequently or longer chapters less often? (Not saying they would be every other day but they wouldn't be overtly long lapses of time).
Please let me know what you guys would prefer down below in the comments.
On the side is what I imagined Cherie would look like (Mandy Moore) (mostly) >>
Video on the side is Say It Ain't So by Weezer >>>>

RECAP:
"I have thought of everything Benoit, I always do. Your daughter will accept her fate because it is my will. I am King, my will is law. It would be best that you do not forget that. There is nothing for us to discuss, I will send you an invitation, inviting you to the joining but that is all you will be needed for. I would suggest that you contain any hatred you have towards King Raymond at the ceremony, least you want to make a spectacle of yourself, am I understood?"
"Yes, your majesty"
"Good, now leave"
"As you wish," Lord Watkins stood, his back ramrod straight, and started walking- more like stalking- towards the door.
"Oh, and Benoit?"
Stopping, Watkins slowly turned towards the King. "Yes, your majesty?"
"Do not, and I repeat, do not let me catch you having an affair within my court again. Let alone, so close to my wife's chambers. Am I clear?" The King's voice was hard and cold, making his emotions quiet clear.

Chapter 4:
"As you wish, your majesty"
The King and I sat in silence as we watched Lord Watkins storm out. Even as the door slammed shut behind him I did not turn towards the King to speak. My brain raced from the confusion I felt towards what just happened. Not to mention the hurt I felt at just now being informed about these things. Never before has the King kept something from me before. Who was Benoit's daughter? Why did Benoit hate King Raymond so much?
"What are your thoughts Cherie?" The King asked, breaking the tense atmosphere around us.
Slowly I turned towards him. "I do not know your majesty. I wish I could tell you, but unfortunately I myself do not understand my thoughts"
The King frowned at my reply. "That was very well said. However it is not the answer I was hoping for Cherie"
"And what was the answer you were looking for your majesty?" I asked, knowing that I was treading on careful grounds.
"You shall understand soon enough my dear. Now hurry along to your duties," waving his hand at me he turned to stare at one of the portraits on his wall.
Keeping my face blank I bid him adieu before making my way out of his chambers. What could he have meant by you will understand soon enough? Was he upset that I was unaware of what they were talking about for the most part? My thoughts stopped as a shoulder slammed into me.
"Watch were ye goin' mute chit," Celia, one of the lower chambermaids sneered.
Side stepping her, I bit my tongue to keep from lashing out at her. Lately all of the other female servants have been putting forth more effort to torment me. You should not even be reacting to their little games. If the King were to find out, that would mean more punishment, probably in the form of the chair or hard labor.
