This is the sixth and most important year in Hogwarts. There are changes in the staff members because of the "cursed position of Defence aginst the dark arts". So Professor Snape apparently teaches DADA and due to Dumbledore's request Horace Slughorn is going to teach potions.
As Voldemort is getting stronger and regaining followers, there is a new addition to the Deatheaters.
