The Dream Date (1)

Hermione's pov:

I woke up with a smile on my face. As cheesy as it sounds but I felt like I'm on Cloud 9. I brushed my happiness aside and went to have a bath. I took my sweet time relaxing in bubbles, washed my hair with my favourite strawberry and peaches shampoo. Merlin's pants! I was not used to feeling this way.

I decided to throw on an oversized creme coloured jumper embroidered with gold with light washed jeans. I put my hair in a high ponytail and applied mascara and a lip gloss. I wore my usual converse and grabbed my backpack and was ready for the day.

I met Ginny at the common room and went for breakfast early. These boys can never be on time. Anyways it was weekend so nobody decided to be up.

"Did I mention that you are literally glowing Hermione?" Ginny asked me smirking. "Is there a guy?" She continued. "No..no.. What even.." I stuttered. Great.
"Oh my God, Hermione's in love!" She exclaimed loudly. "No!" I said placing a hand on her mouth. "Does his name starts with a D?" She asked smiling. "Ok stop! So I'm going on a date with Draco today in the evening at hogsmeade." I couldn't control my smile.
" That's great Hermione! And you're finally coming along the way. You two would make a great couple."
"That's enough now! Please don't tell anyone. I don't want people gossiping about us." I said pleadingly. "Ofcourse Hermione, I will always have your back. By the way, what are you wearing? Let me do your hair and make-up." Ginny said excitedly.
Oh no! Ginny was going to feel bad that I went dress shopping without her.
"I'm sorry Ginny, but I went dress shopping at Madame Malkin's yesterday.. I literally had no cute dresses." Ginny pouted.
"How can you go shopping without me. This is not fair Hermione.. Did you forget about me?" Oh god! I feel so bad. "No! Ginny I was in a rush.. So I apparated to the shop. Now, please do my hair... Will you? Ginny always gets super exited when a girl was going on a date. "I'm always ready to make my friend's date skip a heartbeat!" She said flipping her hair. We both laughed.

Narrator's pov:

Hermione spent most of the day in the library. Draco was nowhere to be seen. Ginny barged in the library at 4.

"Hermione, A girl who has a date does not sit in the library when she has to start getting ready." She scolded Hermione nearly dragging her into her dorm. They went into Hermione's room and Ginny made Hermione sit on the chair. She had brought some of hair smoothing potion which she was currently applying on her hair.
Now Hermione's frizz was gone and her hair cascaded down her back into smooth,long and defined curls. Ginny did a complicated yet simple looking upto which made Hermione look like an elegant princess. She then applied a light layer of make-up and accentuated Hermione's features making her look so delicate and beautiful.
Suddenly, they heard a tapping on the window. A beautiful evenly roasted brick coloured owl stood her and had a small letter and package attached to his leg. Hermione gave the owl a treat and opened the letter.

Dear Beautiful Brown eyed girl,

I know you are going to look like an Angel who just fell from the heaven when I see you. But when I was strolling in the Diagon alley, these caught my eyes and I immediately pictured you in these and God forbid knows you looked like a goddess.
So please wear this today and make me the happiest wizard in the world.

Oh I wonder who is it from. Thought Hermione. She opened the package gasping "These are so beautiful!"
In the box lied a pair of beautiful diamond drop earings with a gold detailing on it. "Oh my god, these must have cost a fortune!" Exclaimed Ginny wide eyed. "Let's get you in the dress now." And Hermione changed into the dress which she bought yesterday.
