The story begins to pick up, but not too much yet. Hope you enjoy it!
Down and down you fell, the wind rushing by you, clawing at your clothes and hair. As you were falling, you realized that maybe you should've thought this through more. What if it never ended? What if you landed on the ground so hard that you turned into a liquidated Y/N, and no one ever knew what happened? These thoughts raced through your mind as you kept falling, a nervous feeling growing in your stomach.
Lost in your hypotheses of what would happen, you failed to notice your body slowing down. Only when you landed softly on a pile of autumn leaves did you look around, startled. You were in a circular chamber of earth, one tunnel leading into the unknown. The peculiar man dressed in all white was nowhere to be seen.
Standing up, you cautiously made your way down the tunnel. It came into a long hallway with multiple doors, all of them locked. A three-legged glass table lay off to one side of the room, and a tiny golden key rested on it. You picked up the key, wondering how it would fit in one of the big locks on the doors. Soon enough however, you noticed a small velvet curtain hanging rather low, and behind it a fifteen-inch door was in the wall. You tried the key in the lock, and the door swung open with a click. You put one of your eyes in front of the door, and behind it a beautiful garden was waiting. Alas, it was too small to even fit your head through, so you shut the door and went back to the table, hoping there was something else of more use to you.
A bottle had magically appeared on it, with the words DRINK ME on a paper label tied round the neck of the bottle.
"I guess I have nothing to lose," you said, to no one in particular. You uncorked the bottle and put your lips to it, instantly feeling a sense of gratification as the mysterious drink flowed down your throat, reminding you of Shin-ae's smoothies she used to make. Without a second thought you finished all of the liquid, letting out a satisfied noise.
A couple of seconds later, a tight feeling traveled through your stomach, then your whole body, making you feel like you were being compressed. In fact, the world seemed to get smaller, and you realized it was. Currently about ten inches high, the world was huge. Not deterred by this dilemma, you then had another thought; now you could travel through the small door into the lovely garden.
Reaching it after struggling across the rough terrain that was the carpet, a pang of anger shot through your body as you saw that the door was shut and you had left the key on the table. Running over to the glass table as fast as you could, you tried to climb up one of the slippery legs, to no avail.
You collapsed on the carpet and let a few tears fall. How were you going to return home now? As the tears started to stream down your face, a small glass box caught the corner of your eye. You opened it with a renewed enthusiasm, hoping that there was something inside that would return you to your previous state. A little cake with the words EAT ME spelled out in currants was the only thing you could trust at the moment. You nibbled at it the tiniest bit, wondering if you would get bigger or shrink to an even smaller version of yourself. There was no change in your size, so you soon set off to eating the whole cake.
Another feeling of being stretched out ran through your body. Your head struck the ceiling without warning, and more of your tears started to fall, wasted on this stupid decision of yours to jump down the hole in the first place. A large pool was starting to form from your tears, soaking your shoes and socks to a damp wetness.
Just then, you heard a pitter patter of feet coming down the hallway. You tilted your head down and saw the man dressed in white coming your way—the one you had followed into this mess. He stopped in front of you and looked up.
"Need a helping hand, miss?" he asked. You nodded your head, suddenly ashamed that you were crying in front of a stranger. He held up one of his white kid-gloves and beckoned for you to take it. Confused on what it was supposed to do, you took it from his hand and held it in your palm. You started to shrink, and not after some time, you were your normal size again.
Looking up at your savior, you thanked him in a quiet voice.
"No problem, I just saw a poor woman in trouble. Say, by any chance did you happen to consume a strange drink and a cake?" he asked inquisitively. Surprised, you nodded your head again.
"Dang it, V, I thought I told you not to make any more cursed foodstuffs!" he exclaimed under his breath.
"What did you say?" you inquired.
"Oh nothing, forget I said that. What brings you down here?"
"Actually," you blushed, clearly embarrassed by what you were about to say, "I saw you and followed you down here."
"I see. Nothing to be worried about." He turned around and was about to set off when he was stopped by your pleading cry.
"C-can you take me with you? I don't know this place very well, and you seem like such a gentleman; I would hate to be alone." You weren't sure if he would actually take you with him, but it was worth a shot, and better than staying here by yourself.
He seemed deep in thought for a moment, before saying, "Okay, but do as I tell you and don't cause a commotion." He was about to start off again before you interrupted him one last time.
"May I have your name sir? Mine is Y/N."
"That's a pretty name. Mine is Kim Namjoon; most people know me as the White Rabbit, but you can call me RM." And with that declaration, he strode off with you following behind him.
And so, you meet the mysterious Kim Namjoon aka the White Rabbit. What will happen next? I don't know, keep reading to find out. Leave your comments so I can improve my work.
