After disengaging the call to Geraldo, The Lieutenant's phone rang yet again.
Seeing the Hartland's number on the screen, he exclaimed loudly,
"What now!"

"Hello, Ralston here." he said sharply into the phone.
The Lieutenant began to rub his temples, as he recognised the voice of the senior Mrs. Hartland. She was sobbing on the other end.
Her next words, stilled his movements.

"Okay, I will send someone over right away.
Yes, they are both here. Of course, I will let them know.
Please accept my condolences."

The Lieutenant returned to the interrogation room
"He stood, agitatedly moving from one leg to the other.

"I am afraid that I have some sad news." he began.

"Is it Serena?" Sara asked, jumping off her seat.

"No! I am afraid Tara has collapsed and died."

"What?" Geronimo shouted.

Again Marina began to sway.
"Please, I need to get Geraldo's belongings " She pleaded.
"I need to get to the house immediately!" she explained chokingly.

"They are right here sweetheart!"

Looking at Geronimo totally confused,  Marina asked; "What did you just say?"

Geronimo stood there, frozen to the spot, his eyes as wide as a full moon, staring at the door.

Realising that Geronimo had not spoken, she turned back to the Lieutenant, but, he was not there!

Instead, standing by the door, was whom she thought was Geronimo.

Wondering how he had moved so quickly, she looked behind her!

Geronimo was still standing there in iceberg formation.

Swinging her head back and forth at the two persons, Marina spluttered "Geraldo?"
Not believing in ghosts, she took a step forward to touch him, swayed for just a second and crumpled to the floor, like a stringless puppet. Her world fading away into blackness!

Geronimo fell to his knees, certain that the image was an apparition.
"Geraldo, is it you brother?" he sobbed openly.

Hearing his brother's voice, responding fondly
"Yes Gerry." as Geraldo always addressed him, Geronimo joined Marina, on the floor, in a blank state of oblivion.

Rushing to his wife's side firstly, Geraldo checked for her pulse. Sighing with relief, he then rushed to his twin's side.

"Thank God, he whispered, as his shoulders sagged with relief. Weeks of unbearable burdens went through the door as Geraldo shouted for assistance.

While his wife and brother were being attended to, Geraldo braced himself, for the innumerable questions which were certain to follow their imminent recovery.
