Piper POV~ Strange Happenings

"Hey Piper? Can we talk?" Clary asked, catching me off guard.

"Sure, what's up?"

"Is Calypso always so unfriendly or is something off?"

"Um... no, she seemed fine to me, why?" I was suspicious and worried, I had seen her crying to Jace before we left.

"Oh, ok! Well I was just wondering because she seemed so unfriendly which was ironic considering who she's dating," she chuckled nervously.

"Oh, well, if anything is bothering you, I am always open to talk. We are going to be here for a long while." I forced a smile. Something was wrong, and I was going to find out what it was before we reached Athens.

       It was dinner time and Leo was putting his taco bar to work. He had two griddles, one for the meat eaters and one for the vegetarians (Clary and me). It smelled heavenly on deck and my stomach growled so loudly, Jason looked over at me and smiled.

"Someone's hungry!" He smiled, brushed his lips against my forehead.

"Mmm yes, and Leo's tacos smell so good," I laughed softly. I loved Jason, being with him made me the happiest being on earth. Although, I'm sure all the other couples on board would object.

"Ew, get a room, you two! We do not need to see your disgusting PDA right before dinner!" Leo teased.

"Really, then what do you have to say to Percy and Annabeth?" Simon asked, appearing out of nowhere. I turned around to see Percy approach Annabeth from behind. She turned around in his arms and kissed him lightly, but he deepened the kiss. They were so cute, I wanted to squeal loudly.

"I know, that was how I felt when Simon and Izzy finally kissed properly as a couple," Clary said from behind me. That's when I realized I voiced my thoughts out loud. 

"Yes, well being the daughter of Aphrodite isn't always the easiest. I love playing matchmaker," I said.

"Really Piper? Clary is our matchmaker. When Magnus and I got together, she screamed the roof down and ruptured my rib cage by hugging me," Alec said.

"Wait, who's Magnus?" Annabeth asked.

"He is my boyfriend," Alec replied and seeing the startled looks he added, "What? I'm in a relationship too."

"Of course, it's just that I have a cousin named Magnus so I was confused," Annabeth replied hastily. After that, everyone started chatting to each other as we settled down for dinner.

"By the Angel Leo!" Jace and Alec yelled loudly together scaring us all.

"What, what?" Leo asked frantically.

"These tacos are heavenly," Jace said, then seeing our scared looks he said sheepishly, "sorry if we scared you."

    We laughed and talked until Izzy suggested that we share some stories about our adventures to get to know each other better. So that was how the rest of dinner went, we shared our stories and the Shadowhunter shared theirs. Clary told us about her demonic brother whose heart only showed love only for Clary. I found that very cute, except for the fact that he went about it the wrong way of course. Percy and Annabeth told us about their time in Tartarus. I was proud of them to have gotten over their trauma enough to tell us about it.

     Very soon, dinner was over, and we all went to our respective cabins. Leo made all the cabins bigger so that the couples could share a room. And if they didn't sleep in the same bed, they had room for two different beds. Jason and I slept in two different beds that night because I was feeling too hot to sleep with another person. I tossed and turned in my bed, not being able to fall asleep. Finally, I got up and walked out of the room for some fresh night air which usually helped me sleep. As I walked past Clary and Jaces's cabin, I heard voices. 

What the Hades are they doing awake so late at night? I thought.

      As I listened closer, I heard that the voices didn't belong to just Clary and Jace. All five of the Shadowhunters were there. I was very suspicious, but it wasn't my business to get into. So, I went back to my cabin and went to bed, puzzled and worried.
