My eyes flew open to see a starry filled night sky with a full moon as red as blood. I stumbled to my feet as fast as I could, quickly mumbling a protection spell. Or at least trying to. When I tried, I felt nothing. There was no spark, no tingling of power being used. I could feel my magic inside me, struggling, trying to burst to the surface, but for some reason it didn't work. So looks like I'm going to explore the old fashioned way. I looked around finally noticing I was in a field with tall grasses. I got the strangest feeling like id been there before. I looked down and saw myself in a flowing purple robe. Then it all came rushing back to me. I had been here before. This was supposed to be my happy place, my haven. But the blood moon was new. The grasses were no longer soft, but dead and dry to the touch. Where there were sounds of life and nature in my haven, this new place was silent, except for the sound of the grass blowing in the wind. All I could do was stand there and listen. But the longer I waited, the clearer sounds became to me. And if I strained my ears enough, I could make out the sounds of whispers in the breeze. I around, trying to figure out where the sound was coming from, all the while the whispers are still barely audible. Finding the source, I began to run to it, slowing down when saw a line of trees. But it wasn't the trees that I was afraid of. There were figures in between the trees, menacing figures, slowly moving toward me. I began to back away slowly until I tripped backwards and hit my head on the ground. My vision blurred instantly, and the last thing I remember is looking up and seeing that bloody moon...
