Pen.
I didn't have time to take in what he meant. I began twitching and when I saw Bracelety, I panicked. "Wha? Where are we? Wh-What's going on? I'm so... confused..."
Alt then explained the situation. I expected myself not to believe him but I somehow trusted him.
Trust is something inanimate.
Brackets kicked the knives into a hole, trembling. "Wh-What... do... I-I do?" she whimpered, holding my hand tightly.
"There's one more person I want you to kill. Please, I know you don't want to. If you don't, I'll kill you. I'm sorry." I knelt down beside the innocent contestant and lowered my voice to a point you wouldn't think I'm talking. "Kill. Four."
"Wh..." her eyes spoke millions of words.
"You're right. I'll do it myself. But first-" I interrupted myself by forming a portal back to EXIT.
I was really getting the hang of my new abilities.
I gathered all of the eliminated contestants, making sure nobody was left behind. Yes, I wanted them dead. But what's the harm in breaking their trust that they somehow have?
"Stay here. I'll be back."Finding Four was easy. The host told me that he knew I'd been escaping. I'm response, I rolled my eyes and my hand started shaking.
„Watch this.„ Alt clearly made some sort of laser shoot out of my hand and it hit Four. He was completely muted and his expression was paralysed. "Two things, I can do that?!"
„Mhm. Second thing?„
"You can... control me?"
„Yes, but I'll try not to. It's entertaining to see what you can do with your power.„Huh, Alt has more to him than meets the eye... not that you can see him.
I formed a sharp blade with my hands and gripped it. I closed my eyes and stared down as I slit the host's wrists. It was incredibly... enjoyable. I wanted to do it again.
I needed to do it again.
My eyes opened and I saw his hands on the floor and blood dripping from where they once were. His veins drooped from his lifeless arms as if they were the branches of a weeping willow. I couldn't resist making more damage to the corpse. I created an identical weapon and stabbed both of them into his closed eyes and twisted them as if they were keys tying to unlock a door. While I was doing this, I heard slow clapping.
"Huh?" I turned around at a high speed to see the source of the sound.
Liy.
"I never thought you'd have the heart to do that." the lightswitch clearly sounded impressed with what I did.
"What can I say? I learn from the best." I joked.
"At least I'm a loyal deather. I save lives, well, I used to."
"It's funny that you guys are called deathers, it sounds like you're trying to cause death."
„Which you two are doing.„
"Shut up." I tried to make my voice as quiet possible to be unnoticed but Liy managed to hear me.
"Are you talking to me?" She asked.
I was dumb enough to say no; then again, she would've gathered that I wasn't aiming my words at her as she hadn't spoken.
"So who are you talking to? There's nobody else around. Also, well done for making Bracelety go on that killing spree."
"Yeah, I did that. And I-I'm talking to... Alt."
"Alt?"
"Yeah! The version of me that you created before."
„Does my creator not remember me?„
"I can hear him." Liy stated. For a while, the three of us talked about how we were going to end the lives of the eliminated constants, even though it felt weird that Liy could hear the me in my head. They obviously already trusted me a lot as I set them free from eternal algebra class.
They'll never go back there.
Liy and I returned to where the most-voted players were waiting. They noticed the blood on my feet. Bracelety knew where I'd been and what I'd done; maybe telling her wasn't a smart move. I stand corrected - she still couldn't talk due to the trauma of slaughtering.
One by one, me and Liy assassinated each of the exitors one by one until Bracelety was left. I stopped Liy from slaying her. "Let her live... for now."
