Chapter 2.

Pen.

„You're not actually going to hurt her, are you?„
The sound of my own voice startled me before I realised that it was Alternate Pen talking to me.
"I- uh, Bracelety! My friend! Why don't you, uh," I created a small knife with my hands. "go and stab all of Bleh with this?"
„Listen to me!„
"Will it make them win?!" Bracelety's naive self questioned, snatching the weapon from me.
"Y-Yes. It will. Even better, it'll... it'll make sure Ice Cube wins. But you have to stab everyone. And then-" I cut off, creating another blade and handed it to her. "this one... what you need to do with it is simple. Stab any other contestants you see, even your own team. It will make sure they lose."
Just like that, Bracelety was off. What she didn't know was something any object with a brainstem could figure out; she was going to kill everyone.
Now that she was gone, I could speak to Alternate Pen.
"No, I'm not. Why would I hurt... her?" I sat myself on a log.
„No reason... also, call me Alt. That's what she named me.„ his voice filled my head.
"She? You mean Bracelety?"
„N-No... my creator.„
"I thought- nevermind. Alt, who's your creator?"
„Pen,„
"Yeah?"
„take a guess.„

"Liy."

It felt weird saying her name out loud, especially since I was basically talking to myself. Alt couldn't be seen unless he was in a reflection but I knew he was there. He stopped talking to me after I said her name. "Alt? You there?"

„Yeah. Liy is my creator.„

Moments later, Bracelety returned. As I saw her silhouette approaching me, I stood up, acting as if I didn't see her coming. The second she saw me, she darted at the speed of light towards me and hugged me, crying. She was covered with splatters of blood and her knives looked like they were naturally red. "P-Pen, I... I didn't m-mean to... to... to..." she couldn't speak because of how much she was crying.
„Are you insane? Don't let anyone hear her! Liy protected your team, I can see her. She's not nearby and you can't find them. Death P.A.C.T is the only team alive. Wait, no. Blocky, Eraser, Snowball, Grassy and of course the eliminated contestants are the only contestants alive. Other than that, everyone's dead. But don't let your team hear her.„
Taking in what Alt told me, I knelt down to Bracelety's level and hushed her. "You didn't mean to what?" I acted like I didn't know that she murdered most of the contestants.
"I-I-I... I... everyone's... everyone's d-dead... and... it's... a-all... m-my... fau-fault..." she was shaking visibly and tears endlessly flowed from her closed eyes. A sudden regret struck me. Remorse attacked me and I started shaking too.
„Calm down. Liy did this, not you. You're going to know that I'm a few seconds. Liy'll know that she did this too.„
