Austin turned to leave after we exchanged goodbyes and thank yous. My eyes drooped, and I couldn't supresss my sleepiness any longer.

"Wait, Austin."

"Hmm?", he glanced back, turning on his heel.

"Keep the spare key. Just in case."

He smiled and nodded.

The next morning, I woke up to a beautiful day. The sun was shining, but I could still tell there would be a brisk little breeze. It was Saturday, one of my favorite days. I rubbed my eyes and glanced over at the clock to read the time. I was surprised to find a pastel yellow sticky note covering the digital numbers. I reached over and snatched it.

Mais:

(I rolled my eyes at yet another nickname)

Meet me at Tallulah's Coffee Shop.10 am.

The clock read 9:40.I decided to go. Whatever he wanted, I still felt the need to thank him again for last night. This was a good opportunity. I quickly dressed and walked the 4 blocks to get to Tallulah's. It was only the cutest little coffee shop in all of San Francisco.

The bell above the door jingled as I entered. I looked around until I spotted Austin at a table in the corner. He sat, one hand tucked away in his black jeans, the other holding his coffee cup. His face was pretty expressionless as he scanned the San Francisco Chronicles. He hadn't spotted me yet. I couldn't help but smile.I had never actually seen him in the day.Or, good lighting that is.I admired how his soft brown locks cascaded over his face in some parts, but ruffled up in a swoop in others. His tan skin glowed in the sunlight, and those gorgeous hazel green eyes of his sparkled. He had a barely noticeable amount of scruff, which was okay for someone as young as him.He looked about in his early 20s, like me-only my 'beauty' failed in comparison to his.My brown hair was much darker-probably closer to a 'light black'.I had boring brown eyes, and I knew for certain my skin wasn't as radiant as his. Strange, considering he smoked and drank, and I didn't.

He flashed a small smile at the newspaper, revealing his perfectly straight teeth.Once again, he one-upped me.I had a small gap in between my two front ones.Which, I actual kinda liked- it wasn't that noticeable anyway. But I was a little uneasyabout the fact that he was beating me in 'betterness'.

Even his style was better than mine. I suddenly felt very inadequate, what with my pair of baggy jeans, plain old white shirt, and dirty Keds. Austin, on the other hand, was wearing a leather jacket and beanie, and his giganto foot was slipped inside a marvelous pair of Nike Air Max's. His new age bad boy outfit perfectly complimented his persona, and was much more futuristic than the baggy sweat suits that branded the eighties.

He was quite a looker, I had to admit.

I made my way over to the table. He looked up and smiled.

"Hey Mace Windu."

I shook my head as I took a seat across from him.

"Ok, before we get down to business, you need to stop calling me so many different nicknames, nerd."

"Hey", he said holding up his hands in defense,"Star Wars is probably the greatest cinematic masterpiece of our time. You should be honored."

"Ya but Mace Windu is only in the comics so far. So what, Mr.Tough guy reads comics? You are a nerd!", I laughed harder than I should of, considering it wasn't even really that funny. He was right, everyone liked Star Wars in the eighties. He blushed anyway.

"Excuse me ma'am, but if you're done laughing like a hyena, you'd realize your reasoning just backfired. If you know about Mace Windu, then you're a nerd too.", he flashed a smug grin and crossed his arms.
