Chapter 9: Mr. Sandwich Games
"I got to tell Mom you idiot!" I was catching up to Brooklyn with a frown. He keeps on picking up paces and leaves me behind to show me how weak I am. Ha, what a gentleman.
"Catch up," he ignores what I said and walks faster again.
"Wow, I am enjoying this Brooklyn!" I sarcastically stated.
"Yeah, me too," he answers with no visible sarcasm.
"Ugh, jerk! I have to tell Mom or she'll find out I sneaked out and trust me, she's gonna hug me. With a rope!"
"Not my problem," he answered and still ahead of me.
"Seriously?!"
"Yep," he answers nonchalantly.
I can't believe I wanted to kiss him a couple of minutes ago! And now, I want to head butt him. I am going insane and it's because of Brooklyn Beckham. Not in a good way of insanity. It's definitely not all rainbows and butterflies. It's all "head butt this jerk" everywhere.
What am I thinking anyway? Thinking about going to the park with him? That is just a really smart move for a grounded teenage girl. No one likes it when Mom is mad. It's like experiencing World War 3.
"Brooklyn Beckham, I need to go back!" I pleaded again. He just won't let go home.
"No."
"Alright then, I will have to escape," I threaten and I'm not joking.
"I bet you can hardly do that."
Crap. Good point. Again, I really hate dealing with freaking athletes.
"Can we just do this tomorrow or anytime?"
"No."
"I'm pretty sure someone's gonna spot us and tell your parents!" I protested.
"That's not gonna happen. I got this all planned out."
I narrowed my eyes at him and glared at the back of his head hoping I could burn a hole on it. If I could escape, I will never let him enter my house again. Ever. And yes, I'm going to officially seal the deal off. There is nothing to stop me from keeping this jerk out of my room and out of my life. Sometimes, he does have his perks but most of the time he just pisses me off and gets me to a lot of trouble. Take this situation as an example.
If I want to get home fast, I have to talk to him fast. "Can we talk about it right now?"
"No. Park."
I rolled my eyes, ran up to him and dragged him by his wrist with a tight grip. He stumbles a little. Ha. He definitely did not expect that. I kept dragging him as he stuggles to keep up and to level himself with me since I'm shorter.
"Calm down, Pookie."
"What?!" I snapped my glare to his direction, threatening him to repeat what he just called me.
"Pookie," but he did repeat. He pronounces the name with a teasing grin.
"Pookie my ass."
He sniggers in response and mutters, "You cuss."
I didn't entertain what he said and let it slide. Just today. The next time he comes up with another name, he won't like it.
We quickly arrived in the park after a few seconds of dragging. I pulled him and faced him sternly. "I don't wanna get caught and get myself scolded. So now, tell me everything I need to know and I can tell you what I have to say. Got it?"
