JUNGSOON

What the hell is my life right now?

Jimin finally confessed to me, but only to push me away without an explanation.

All I know is I need some air. Back in medical school, a nice walk around Mayfair could always help me clear my mind, so a nice stroll down 5th Avenue sounds like a suitable alternative.

"Jungsoon, why did you let this happen?" I ask myself aloud. I know that I might look crazy to the people passing by, but in a city like New York, there are far more crazy things to see on the sidewalk.

The window displays glitter in my peripheral vision as I stroll along, but I'm too consumed with my own thoughts to pay them any mind.

I think back to what Hoseok said about it him and Yuka, about how they don't belong in each other's worlds, and it makes me wonder if Jimin has the same mindset.

"Does he think that I'll get hurt because I don't fit into the idol lifestyle?" It's entirely possible, but I would rather take the risk of getting hurt than not even try.

But how do I show him that I can handle being in his world?

I turn a corner and notice two very stylish girls walking out of one of the department stores with bags in hand. They look confident and happy, like they have the world in the palm of their hands.

Maybe I just have to fit into Jimin's world a little better.

I walk into the store and look around, overwhelmed by the selection of clothing all around. It's a far cry from my simple wardrobe. I don't even know where to begin.

"Hey there, welcome to Bloomingdales," a pretty redhead sashays up to me with a bright smile. "What brings you in today?"

"I need a bit of a change," I tell her. "I usually dress quite simply, as you can see."

"Don't you worry, sweetheart. We'll find you some new clothes that are worthy of that adorable haircut you're rocking." She offers me her hand and guide me upstairs to the dress section. "Let's find you some options that show off that body. Do you have any preferences or do you want me to follow my instincts?"

"I trust you," I giggle, and her smile grows with excitement.

"I was hoping you'd say that!" She brings me into a posh dressing room and smiles in the doorway. "I'm Carly, by the way."

"Thanks Carly, I'm Jenny." I smile back at her.

"Well, Miss Jenny, just give me a few minutes and I'll be right back with some clothes for you." She flashes me a wink and leaves me in the room for what feels like only a minute before returning with an arm full of clothes. "The fashion fairy has returned!"

"The fashion fairy works quickly!" I exclaim as she hangs the various choices on the dressing rack. All of the fabrics are so vibrant and colorful. I'm excited to wear something outside of my usual tee shirt and jeans combination.

After shuffling through at least 30 different pieces of clothing, I leave with a few form-fitting dresses that Carly assures me 'are slightly slutty but still classy enough for a doctor to wear', as well as some new tops that are more flattering on my petite frame than my usual shapeless tee shirts.

"So what are you wearing out?" Carly asks me once I've finished my selections.

I look over my choices, but I like everything equally. I don't know what to wear first. "You pick for me. You've done a great job so far."
