Awakening

Hoseok rarely calls, so when he does Seokjin is always on high alert. Hoseok is probably the only person Seokjin would always answer the phone for. Even when it is in the middle of the night like right now and he just got home from a draining day of work a couple of hours ago. It's not that they don't really communicate a lot, but calling is saved for emergencies and emergencies only. Hoseok texts Seokjin almost every day, mostly he just sends pictures or weird meems that Seokjin doesn't quite comprehend and sometimes it takes Seokjin hours to reply because he can't always check his phone during the day and usually doesn't check his text messages a lot. But he can always respond to calls if there is something urgent. That is why calls are saved for emergencies. The last time Hoseok called was when he tripped during dance practice and thought that he might have broken his ankle and there was no one else who could pick him up and drive him to a hospital. He was the last one, did overtime to practice that one move and of course he had to fall with no one else around. In the end, his ankle was just a little twisted but Seokjin was worried sick when he saw the call.

So when Seokjin hears his phone ringing right now and sees that it's Hoseok who is calling him at almost midnight he immediately sits up straight in his bed, the phone already pressed to his ear the second he taps on accept call.

"What the fuck happened for you to call me at midnight?", Seokjin asks the second he answers the phone without even giving Hoseok a chance to say hello or explain the situation or basically say anything at all. This may be an emergency but it's an emergency happening at almost midnight and Seokjin will have to get up around seven in the morning tomorrow so this better be a big emergency. This time he better have broken his leg for real if he is going to ask Seokjin to drive him to the hospital.

"Someone found out", Hoseok answers and it is the vaguest answer he could have possibly given. He sounds somewhat out of breath like he has been running, there are traffic sounds and some music in the background, mixed together with other people yelling and laughing somewhere in the distance. It sounds like Hoseok is walking right next to a club or something.

"Found out about what?", Seokjin asks, already becoming somewhat irritated. If Hoseok is waking him up in the middle of the night with an emergency phone call he could at least do Seokjin the favour of keeping that call short and just telling him if he needs to be picked up somewhere or whatever happened this time that Hoseok considers to be an emergency that is important enough to rob Seokjin of his beauty sleep. "Hoseok are you at some weird club again?"

"No, yes, not anymore", Hoseok begins stumbling over his words a little before he stops speaking for a moment. It sounds like he is taking his phone away from his ear for a second to talk to someone else, there is more noise in the background now, it sounds like Hoseok is getting on a bus or something. So he apparently doesn't need to be picked up. Wonderful. Seokjin is about to just end the call and go back to sleep when Hoseok finally presses his phone to his ear again and makes the annoying noises in the background stop. Or at least he is speaking over them again. "Listen, I'm on my way to you, I can't really explain this right now, they found some of your old videos. I'll be there in twenty minutes. Don't stress out, okay? Stay calm, I'll be with you in a moment. Just wanted to warn you that I am on my way to you right now. I'll explain it all when I'm there."

And just like that Hoseok ends the call. No further explanations. Nothing. Just the announcement that he will be here in twenty minutes and that someone has found old videos of Seokjin. And it's probably not some embarrassing video of him in the play his class put on in middle school where he had to wear a dress because there were no girls in his class. Seokjin wouldn't care if this kind of video of him got spread. Maybe it could even be beneficial, add to his image as Mr beautiful and charming. But from the way Hoseok said it, it's clearly not that type of video. Oh no, Seokjin has a pretty good idea of what kind of videos Hoseok is talking about. So, of course, the first thing Seokjin does is stress out completely.
