Namjoon is sitting at a small table in a somewhat secluded corner of the coffee shop that Seokjin picked out for them to meet at. But at least his table is close to the big window front of the shop so that Namjoon can watch the people walking by, keeping his eyes open for a certain person with black hair. Which is harder than it sounds when practically everyone walking by has black hair. When Namjoon is not staring at every black haired guy walking by he either keeps stirring the coffee in front of him, that is probably almost cold by now, or checks his phone to read through his chat with Seokjin again.

Namjoon had sent him a picture of the necklace as soon as he had found it, together with a simple message. Looks like you forgot something here. Namjoon had stared at his phone for almost a minute, waiting for the message to get through, hoping that he hadn't been blocked just yet. And the message got through. Seokjin had seen it, typed, stopped typing, started typing again, finally sent a reply. Give it back. And that was exactly what Namjoon had been planning to do. Of course he offered that Seokjin could come over to pick it up. And of course Seokjin had told him that there was no way in hell he was ever going to come back. Next Namjoon had suggested that he could send it to Seokjin in the mail. Maybe Seokjin had actually considered that option for a moment, but in the end the idea of having to give Namjoon his address probably kept him from doing that. So, in the end, they decided to meet up somewhere. Only to return the necklace, nothing else. Seokjin had put a huge emphasis on that.

So here Namjoon is right now, sitting in a small coffee shop somewhere in the center of the city, watching the people passing by outside the window, waiting for Seokjin to show up. Maybe he won't, after all, it's just a necklace. It doesn't look like it's especially valuable. Actually, it looks rather cheap, something that could probably be bought in any small jewelry shop or fashion boutique around the corner. Something replaceable. And yet Seokjin reacted immediately when Namjoon had sent him a picture of the necklace. Maybe it has some kind of special emotional value to him. It could very well really be his lucky charm or something like that. Or maybe it was a gift from someone important to him. A good friend, a past lover, maybe even a family member or something. Namjoon takes the necklace out of the pocket of his jeans to look at it, let it run through his fingers, play around with the little four-leave clover for a bit. This is something that belongs to Kim Seokjin, something that is apparently so important to him that he is willing to meet up with a person he despises just to get it back and Namjoon can't help but be curious why.

The small bell above the entrance door chimes to announce a new customer and Namjoon quickly lets the necklace slide back into his pocket before he raises his head. And there he is. Kim Seokjin. Even with a mask covering half of his face and a snapback pulled down to hide his eyes Namjoon recognises him at first glance. Broad shoulders, slim hips, dark, piercing eyes that find Namjoon's gaze almost instinctively. Namjoon awkwardly raises his hand to wave at Seokjin who is already on his way over to the small table. He moves slowly, to not attract any unnecessary attention but just like when he was taking off his shoes and coat in Namjoon's hallway his movements seem filled with rage even if they may look casual on the outside. Seokjin stops right in front of the table and stares down at Namjoon.

"Give it back", he demands. Namjoon calmy looks back up at him. He is not going to just hand it over like that, because once he does Seokjin really is out of his life for good. And there is so much Namjoon still needs to tell him, so much he has to apologise for. He feels terrible about what happened and even if Seokjin probably doesn't want to hear a word of it he just has to tell him how sorry he is. Maybe it's selfish. Maybe it's just to relieve his own conscience, but he just has to apologise. For everything.

"Why don't you sit down for a moment? I'll buy you a coffee, whatever you want", Namjoon suggests and maybe he sounds a little desperate. But he really needs to talk to Seokjin. Get this off his chest. Somehow communicate how sorry he is about everything.
