Chapter 6
Please vote!Betty POV:
It's Tuesday morning and I wake up to Sweet Pea banging on my bedroom door and yelling at me to get up. I take a look at the time and its 6:30 am. That means I had an hour to get ready and eat breakfast. "I'm up" I yelled and he stopped knocking. I get up out of bed and rush to the shower.
I take the quickest shower I have ever taken, which was 10 minutes. I then wrapped a towel around my body and went to my drawer to find some clothes to wear. I quickly pulled out a camo crop top and a pair of blue washed jeans. I put that on and rush downstairs where breakfast had already been made for me. I take a seat and began eating. I had about half an hour left before I had to leave.
Sweet Pea: good morning sleepy head. He says with a slight chuckle.
Betty: the jet lag has gotten to me. And thanks for breakfast. I say to him.
Sweet Pea: no problem, so how was it? He asked. It brought a smile to my face remembering everything.
Betty: it was amazing, the workshop I went to was so helpful and the instructor offered to give me more lessons and stuff like that. It was definitely a great experience. He smiles.
Sweet Pea: and what about that secret boyfriend? I've always been right. He says with a chuckle.
Betty: he's just a friend. I say to him.
Sweet Pea: mhhh. If that's what you say.We both chuckle at his remark.
We both head off to school. I walk to school and wonder if Kevin told the rest about the blind date I went on. It was a train wreck, I wouldn't even consider it a date. It's more like; my brother locked me up in a room with a complete stranger, who had a girlfriend. I just want to put that whole night behind me.
I arrive at school and walk towards the student lounge where all my friends hang out. I walk in and take a seat on the armchair when Reggie and some of the other bulldogs notice me. All the Bulldogs like me, they are constantly asking me out, and my answer has always been the same; no. There are only two people who don't; Jason, because he's my cousin and Archie, we've been best friends since forever.
Jason does try to get the guys to act normal around me but it doesn't work. They start acting like literal bulldogs to get my attention.
Reggie: Hey Betty, you look amazing today. As always. He says.
Betty: thank you, Reggie. I say in reply. The thing is I don't know how to reply. It makes me feel uncomfortable that they still try to get with me but I don't have the guts to tell them that's there's no chance. I am all about finding a person who is kind and somewhat smart, unlike the guys who only know football.
Chuck: good morning Betty. He says.
Veronica knows how much I despise them hitting on me so she steps in, but only after they've had a go hitting on me. To her, this in entertaining.
Veronica: Ok that's enough Bulldogs, you should know by now she's too good for you. I mouth a thank you to her and she smiles.
The bell rings and I bolt out of the lounge and to my locker. I breathe a sigh of relief. I grab my stuff and walk to class. I take a seat at the back. A couple minutes later Kevin arrives and cautiously took a seat next to me.
Betty: surprised you had the guts to sit next to me. I say with an intimidating chuckle.
Kevin: so am I. He says.
Betty: I'm not mad at you guys, don't worry. Just never do it again. I say with a chuckle.
Kevin: I'll try, but I can't guarantee anything. I raised an eyebrow up at him and he laughed. The lesson began and the teacher was writing notes on the board. As the class wasn't too loud I kept hearing Kevin's phone go off, I looked over his shoulder to see who he was messaging and it was my brother, of course it was.
