Beautiful.

Manhattan? It always looked beautiful after dusk. It had an odd terrestrial feel, the stunning street lights illuminating the view in casts of golden glows, the usual grummy sidewalks having a more celestial look to them from the lights.

Starry nights.. It complimented it, too. A pelt of silver stars dotted above the skyscrapers and buildings surrounding the area, deep shadows following after as the silhouettes moved through the night, rarely any people in sight except for the odd wanderer. It was a lot better than the usual bustling and obnoxious traffic of New York, it now finally simmering down so you could finally enjoy the scenery instead of the mundanes contaminating it.

.. Was that edgy to think? Heh.. Probably. Simon couldn't help but smile to himself at the thought, slowly shaking his head and tucking a tousled piece of hair behind his ear, the reflection of the window slightly reflecting his own features back at him. He was sporting his thick set black glasses - even though he didn't need them - and his usual skin glow was looking a little more pale than usual. Hmm.. Probably because of the lack of feeding. He always waited until he was home alone or could travel over to Raphael's before pulling off such a thing, not wanting to risk getting another fresh vile thrown out by his sister and another ribbing from his boyfriend over wasting perfectly good blood.

.. 'Boyfriend'..

Even after the many months of being together, it was odd to say that. The whole secret relationship and hiding it from everyone else was the reason why he wasn't overly use to it, and then Raphael always acting to despise him to sell it more did as well. It was a little hard to handle at times, but would he just up and out their relationship?

Not a chance.

He'd abide by Raphael's wishes, even if they were difficult to follow at times. There must be a reason he wanted to keep it, right? Simon had his suspicions that he didn't wanna give up his Ace act, or continue acting like he was into Isabelle to get more of the Shadowhunter blood. Did he know for sure? Of course he didn't. Raphael was a very complicated man, which made it hard to understand his motives a lot of the time.

But... He'd try not to get to into it. It got a little too overwhelming when he thought about it too much. So, he dropped the internal conversation, instead turning to the scenery of New York once more.

Simon leaned in closer to the window, sighing quietly and resting his elbows and chin on the sill as he admired the outdoors. The mixtures of purples and blues were quite eye catching, and his hazel eyes flitted upwards, focusing in on the moon.

'Children of The Night'... Was that a saying or a fact? Simon slightly pondered the background of vampires, his curiosity beginning to wonder if they truly were little clones of the moon above. Heh.. Wasn't that a silly thought? Just imagining Raphael glowing in the moonlight made his smile change to a grin, and he bit his lower lip, looking away from the moon for a moment as he felt his face heat up. If anyone was born from a planet, guaranteed it would be Raphael. Mysterious.. Intimidating.. It even seemed like he was from a whole other world, or well..

Time period.

Simon exhaled, his dark eyelashes fluttering up as he fully relaxed, his body easing as he eventually pushed himself up from the windowsill, his back resting upon his gaming chair as he took this time to himself. It was nice being alone, especially from the drama with Clary and Jace. Part of him wished the two had never dated, or he never had a crush on her in general. But.. Love?

It wasn't something you could fight off forever, even if it's the best option.

An odd pang of guilt hit him as he went into thought about it, and he closed his eyes, his head lolling back to rest on the chair. He was even going to sigh aloud again when he suddenly heard the door behind him click shut, Simon jumping out of his pity party instantly and whipping his chair around, his eyes widened. At first he expected his mom there who periodically checked up on him, or his sister to go and search his room again for any, 'Odd Necessities' as she called it. Yet, as his eyes landed upon the dark and tall masculine figure approaching, he fell silent, one eyebrow cocking upon seeing him in the room at this time.
