Anger. Deceit. Buildups of weeks and weeks had resulted in a sudden outburst, Raphael taking matters into his own hands to confront Simon and express his anger more vividly to the Vampire.

Even after telling him about his displeasure of being ignored, it seemed Simon didn't listen. Even after all the apologies and promises to do better, it seemed the other male never pulled through with it. It was more of a quick way to disperse Raphael, but now?

He wasn't going to be brushed off so easily. Not after all those other times.

"Why are you doing this?" Cold and agitated. Raphael was standing just a few feet away from Simon, the clench of Raphael's jaw making it clear of his immense displeasure and the amount of time he had been holding this in for. Upon hearing it Simon looked up at him in confusion, his hazel eyes looking into the beautiful yet enraged onyx irises of his lover, Raphael.

"... What are you talking about?" Simon whispered, and to such an idiotic question Raphael scoffed, his temper wound up and dispersing his usual sass. Due to experience Simon could tell his lover was getting wound up, and hesitantly he tried to reach forwards and calm him down, but instead Raphael rather roughly slapped his hand away, Simon gasping aloud upon feeling the force. Raphael had never reacted towards him like that before..

"Are you serious Simon? Are you serious?" Alec echoed, and never before did he see his eyes shatter like that, as if that was the absolute worse thing he could've said. "It's you! I'm talking about you, idiota. I'm sick of the way you're treating me, like I'm just something you get to choose when to pick up and talk to, but then when I want to talk to you, you're not even goddamn there!" Raphael spat, and that heart-dropping weight in Raphael's chest formed, his adrenaline masking out most of his emotions but still leaving room for guilt and an odd raking feeling, emotional pain splintering through his chest.

Baffled. Simon went silent for a long time, and he looked around briefly as if something close by could help him out before he returned his gaze back to Raphael, seeming to finally realize something and what Raph was finally rambling about.

"... This is about me ignoring you, isn't it?" Simon asked in a low hush, and the second he said that a hurt expression went across Raphael's features, himself finally being noticed after all this time.

"What do you think?" Spite. Of course it'd be filled with spite. Raph's whole era was just negative, and he let out a long sigh, closing his eyes briefly. Simon had an odd urge to approach and comfort him, but knowing the amount of hatred and even betrayal going through Raphael at the moment he decided against it, already having the knowledge that that would be a fairly stupid decision on his end.

Silence. It went between the two for a moment, and slowly Raph's eyes fluttered open, staring blindly at the other with unfamiliar and strangely distant eyes.

"... I'm tired of how you're treating me," Raphael said after a long time, and before Simon could speak up to apologize for the billionth time he spoke up instead, his much more powerful and oddly dominant, "What did I do wrong? Why don't you treat me like you use to?"

"R-Raph, you didn't do anything wrong," Simon hurriedly butted in, already knowing this was headed in a bad direction from the sinking feeling in his own chest, feeling immensely upset himself even though he kind of knew he started this whole feud. After all, if he had actually given his lover the time of day, maybe he wouldn't be suddenly breaking down, the usual tough male bothered and withered by this whole experience.

"I-it's... It's not you, it's me. I-I don't know why, I... I-I don't have an excuse." Simon admitted out truthfully, but judging how Raphael's features stayed stoney, he picked the wrong choice of words and path, this argument turning worse.
