As the sun rose over the tall trees, Jisoo kept a smile on her face.
She liked Jennie.
She liked Jennie a little too much.
Every time she flipped her long, brown hair or smirked, Jisoo's heart did backflips in her chest. Was it true love? Or was it just another silly crush?
Was Jisoo seriously developing a crush on a serial killer? This was a new low.
"Whatcha thinkin' about?" Jennie chuckled, moving forward through the forest.
Jisoo snapped out of it. "Oh! Uh...nothing."
"You were drooling. Imagining me...on top of you?" Jennie grinned, spinning her gun around her finger. "I'm joking, you're too sensitive."
Jisoo tried to process everything, but it was undoubtedly difficult.
Jennie always did that. She always absentmindedly manipulated Jisoo, tricking her in ways that only made her fall deeper.
"You know, I've never had a sidekick before. You good with guns? Or should I lend you my knives instead?"
Jisoo never really imagined herself turning up this way, serving her time behind devilish bars. Sounded horrible.
"I'm not sure." She responded to Jennie's odd question.
Jennie got a kick out of that.
"Take this." She threw a knife behind her back, and Jisoo, surprisingly, caught it.
Impressed, Jennie made her way through a clearing towards a river. "This is a cool hangout. Care for a dip?"
Jisoo was taken aback. How did a serial killer have so much time for fun and games?
"Don't we have somewhere to be? Like, maybe a stable hiding place?" Jisoo cocked her head.
"Don't be so silly, I was born on the wrong side of the tracks and that's where I'll stay." Jennie took Jisoo's hand, her somehow delicate fingers intertwining.
She lead the way towards the shore line.
"Need some help?"
Before Jisoo could answer, Jennie stripped her from her shirt, as she did herself.
"This is not what I imagined as I ran after you. I thought I was going to help you stay alive! Do you have any idea how vulnerable we look right now?" Jisoo mumbled, shaking from her fear.
"Shut up or I'll have to do it for you." Jennie stripped off her belt, throwing it down towards her gun.
The water was cold against Jisoo's feet. The current wasn't too fast, and the sun wasn't burning very hot either.
A cool breeze rattled her, the trees whistling.
A bird flew down, Jisoo's own fear knocking her from her feet and face first into the rushing water.
Jennie laughed. "Two can play at that game." She dove in, splashing the raven haired girl.
Jisoo pushes her wet locks out of her face, sighing. She hated being wet and gross.
"Everything alright, sweetie?" Jennie splashed Jisoo in the face, making her more aggravated than before.
"I'll drown you." Jisoo mumbled.
Jennie laughed. "Say that one more time and I'll shoot you dead."
Jisoo inched closer.
"I'll...drown you." She came up out of the water, splashing down on the criminal.
Jennie screamed beneath the girl. They both sunk, the blue water creating bubbles. A scene like no other, anger and love mixing.
Jisoo found her hands gripping Jennie's face beneath the water as she pressed her lips to the brown haired girls.
Jennie smiled as they kissed, her body shaking from the cold, her heart beating from the kiss.
When Jisoo pulled away, they stared in each other's eyes. Barely seeing through the murky green, their hair floated to the surface.
Jennie popped out of the waves, laughing as Jisoo smiled.
"You trickster!"
Jisoo noticed Jennie ease up to her. Maybe there was something special about Jisoo.
The girls crawled up against a log, sitting there in their soaking clothes, smiling.
"That was colder than the stare you gave me on the way here." Jisoo stared at the water as she swung her legs around the log.
"Oh shut up." Jennie playfully punched her arm.
Jisoo liked this side of Jennie. It was an interesting side, a side with layers. She felt more comfortable.
More in love.
