Your POV
I looked around the house after I had entered and felt Aphmau grab my shoulder. I glanced at her and noticed her worried expression. Her raven black hair was braided and she wore a cute purple dress. I could tell she just came out of the pool too, since her hair was still damp.
"I heard about the confession thing you're doing." She said.
I sighed deeply, "I'm gonna die..."
"You'll be fine," Aphmau tried and gave me a soft push.
She went to the stairs, leaving me in front of the door. I looked down and sighed deeply once more before slowly going after her.
Suddenly, someone came running down the stairs. He tripped and fell on top of me. I squeaked in surprise and fell on my back. We both groaned and stayed still for a moment. Then I noticed the boy had landed face first on my chest. Without waiting any longer I kicked him, in the face, away from me and scooted back.
"Get off!" I yelled.
"Ouch! Hey!" It was Zane.
He looked at me and rubbed his nose. We both blushed and Zane started rubbing his face.
"O-Oh. (Y/n), I'm sorry," He stammered.
Garroth reached the end of the stairs.
"(N/n)! You finally got here," Garroth said.
"What are you two doing?" I huffed, "why are you chasing each other?"
"Excuse me? Garroth is chasing me, I don't have anything to do with this... this childish game!"
"Well you are running away. So your participating in the game, aren't you?" I pointed out teasingly.
"I can't exactly stay where I am and have him capture me," Zane said.
"Pretty sure you mean hug," I chuckled.
"Even worse!" Zane exclaimed.
"Aw, don't you want a hug from me?" Garroth asked Zane.
"Now that you mention it, no!" He got up and went past Garroth up the stairs.
Garroth and I watched him go before looking at each other. The blonde haired boy walked over and held his hand out for me to take. I blushed slightly and took it. With his help I slowly got to my feet and followed his lead up the stairs to the roof.
"(Y/n)!" Katelyn ran over and grabbed my hand away from Garroth's.
She pulled me away from him without saying another word and stopped by a table.
"Look what I got," she said and let go of my hand.
"Cupcakes!" I squeaked and grabbed one of the cupcakes off of the table.
"Especially for you. And Aph.... and.... Zane," She said and chuckled, "I hope you like them."
I looked at her and inhaled the cupcake I just rammed in my mouth.
"I love them," I said and snatched another one off of the table.
"Kawaii-chan is happy you like Kawaii-Chan's cupcakes (y/n)-senpai," Kawaii-chan reached our side and smiled brightly at me.
"I thought Katelyn got them," I said, "oh wait! Katelyn can't cook."
"What!?" Katelyn looked at me, "Yes I can!"
"Mhm?" I chuckled and raised an eyebrow.
Katelyn huffed, "you complemented me on it the other day!"
"I don't remember ever causing such actions," I said.
"That doesn't make any sense!" Katelyn threw a cupcake at me, which I gladly caught with my mouth, and started running after me.
I quickly ran way from her and hopped over Travis, who had slipped in front of me. Katelyn however, wasn't so lucky. She was too late to notice the boy's clumsiness and fell on top of him. I skidded to a halt to see if they were both alright and giggled at the rare sight in front of me.
Katelyn was flailing around on top of Travis and cursed, trying to get up, but Travis put his arms around her waist and pulled her down every time she tried.
"Agh! Travis let me go!" She exclaimed and hit him in the stomach.
Travis squeaked, "Ok! Ok!"
When Katelyn finally got to her feet, I decided it was time for me to take my leave as well and I quickly made my way back to the cupcake filled table.
While enjoying the pink glazed cupcakes, I barely took notice of the blonde haired boy walking over to me.
"Hey there (y/n)," Garroth said.
I looked at him and smiled: "hey Gar Gar, what's up?"
"Well.. you haven't forgotten about... that.... right?" He asked.
"Wha- Oh.. Yeah, no I haven't," I replied, "just give me some more time."
"I-I can't! I can't wait any longer.. please tell me you like me (y/n)," Garroth placed his hands on my shoulders, "please."
"Like you?" I repeated and blushed slightly, "I... I do... but-"
"Just tell him then!"
We both looked at Zane, who was standing next to us holding two cupcakes, which he had almost squeezed completely.
"Tell him you love him (y/n), then this can be over for all of us," Zane growled.
I noticed tears forming in his eyes, but he proudly kept them in whole continuing: "Can't you see this is hurting us!? Just say it! Say you love my brother, say you like him more than you like me!"
"Zane-" Garroth started.
"Shut up Garroth, I'm talking to her."
"Zane, you don't understand," I started.
"Yes I do! I know how you look at him... I've seen it many times now," He wiped his tears away with his knuckles and stepped back a bit, "it's hurting Laurance and Dante... and Travis as well.. so just say you-"
"Shut up!" I exclaimed finally getting him to stop.
Zane blinked and looked at me. He turned and hurried to the stairs.
"Zane! Wait!" I pulled away from Garroth and followed Zane back inside. "Hold on!"
"Just leave it," Zane grumbled as he started going down.
I tried to grab his arm but tripped and fell past him.
"(Y/n)!" Zane quickly put his arms around me and we both rolled down the stairs.
I landed on top of him and grunted. Zane moved his arms a bit.
"Are you ok?" He asked.
"No..." I muttered, "Don't you understand?!"
Zane blinked and sat up, making me slide onto his lap.
"I don't like Garroth," I said, "I like you."
"What?" Zane said and blushed, "y-you like me? Before Garroth?"
"Between the stutter king and My Little Horsie fanboy?" I asked, "I'd choose you a thousand times above him."
Zane cracked a smile.
"Is this where we kiss?" I asked, also smiling.
"Wait wha?" He stammered.
I giggled and pulled his scarf down. I pecked him on the lips.
Zane turned red.
"Y-y-you.." he stuttered.
"Yes. I just-"
Zane kissed me, making me blush. I kissed back and smiled. When we pulled out of the kiss we looked at each other. We grinned and placed our foreheads against each other.<Laurance >
