I stretched, cracking the stiffness from my bones and inhaled sharply as I yawned. I balled my hands into fists and rubbed any sleepiness away from eyes, helping to clear my vision before glancing around. My gaze scanned my room, taking in the way the golden hues poured in through my window, the light filtering through the thin mesh material as the warm air blew through the vents on the ceiling. It was quaint and inviting, calling for me to throw back my comforter and climb to my feet, which I did.

I planted my bare feet on the floor, the lush carpet brushing my soles and rose, once more cracking any stiffness away from my ankles and knees. It took a few moments for me to fully become conscious enough to walk, but I eventually made my way over to the window. I pulled back the curtains, my eyes landing on the view outside. The sheet of white snow remained blanketed over the ground, the rising sun bathing the pure sheet with bronzy tints that made the ice on tree branches sparkle like diamonds. It was all beautiful.

It was just another lovely Saturday morning.

Just another Saturday.

Just another day.

I turned from the window, my gaze falling on my alarm clock. It was only eight. Eight in the morning on a Saturday. I knew the dorms would be quiet as everyone would most likely still be asleep. I mean, we were all college students after all. Most of us spent the school week cramming knowledge into our brains as we downed cup after cup of coffee down our throats to help us pull all-nighters in attempts to finish projects and homework assignments. So, on weekends the dorms were quiet until at least 11:30, but more often than not it wouldn't truly start buzzing until noon. That was college.

But as I just accepted the quietness as everyone recouping from the first week, I recalled what transpired the night before. The party...the party I had no intentions of ever going to. The party I had no intentions on ever going to but somehow still wound up at...because of the stalker...because of Eren rescuing me...then him abandoning me. However, that was when my memories resurfaced, and everything came back to me.

"Son of a bitch," I whined, smacking the palm of my hand against my forehead. "Why did I have to remember that?"

I could feel a tint of scarlet dust over my cheeks, leading my ears and features to burn wildly. I squeezed my eyes shut, fighting my best to knock those memories out with no such luck. I could still see and hear them...doing things I didn't need to see or hear them doing. And trust me, I wanted to kick my own ass for being so nosy. I mean, in my defense, I hadn't been sure what I'd come across. I had been stalked earlier, so I was somewhat afraid, but that still didn't excuse what I had done. I should've just kept going and never gone to investigate, but I had been too stupid. That resulted in my own personal torture.

"Ugh. I need some air," I mumbled, massaging my temples. "Or some alcohol. One of the two."

I turned and made my way to my dresser. I fished out a pair of dark wash skinny jeans and a thick MRU hoody that sported an image of the Titan mascot on it. I danced into my jeans after peeling off my pajamas and rubbed some deodorant on my armpits before shrugging on my bra. After that, I yanked on my hoody and quickly raked a brush through my h/c locks. I didn't really care how I looked. I knew I wasn't dressed to impress and that the wind would most likely just screw up my hair if I tried anything fancy, so I didn't put much effort into my appearance.

I quickly glimpsed over my reflection and shrugged before trudging along. I slipped on a pair of socks and jumped into my favorite pair of combat boots which went nicely with my outfit. At that, I grabbed my keycard and bag and headed out, clicking my door shut behind me, locking it automatically as a way to prevent others from entering my quarters. From there, I quietly made my way down the long corridor to the elevator. I pressed the button, summoning the lift, which took a few moments. After some time, the doors slid open and I entered into it, watching as they slid closed once more.
