August POV

There she was standing in the door way. With a look of not being threaten she looked at Nick with a smile. Placing one hand up she stepped in the house. "Whoa there potna, take it easy. I come in peace" I looked at Nick and he slowly lowered the chopper. "Damn shawty you was about to get blasted. Don't be knocking on the door like you are the police." Nick said walking about and placing the chopper back in its place. All I could go is stand there and look at her. Licking my lips "What you doin here ma?" I look a look at my wrist. I was a little past nine. "It's a bit early to be making house visits." She looked at me with a smirk and walked up to my face. She was about the height I had estimated her to be earlier so I had to look down at her. Her eyes was something so serious. I couldn't help but gaze into them. "Sit down August."

Without even thinking, I obeyed as I stepped backwards to the couch with my eyes fixed to hers. All of a sudden I felt that controlling feeling. Her look was powerful. "what is this about ma?" Nick called over to her. All she did was walk towards me and continue to stare. I sat down on the couch and she took a seat on the coffee table placed in front of it. She politely sat, Crossed her legs, and smiled. "You don't want to grab a seat next to me?" I said licking my lips. She simply said: "No, I'm fine here." "Well where I'm from you don't invite your way into someone's home and have a seat on their coffee table." Nick said sternly. Cricket looked back at Nick and gave him a glare. At that moment nick facial expression went from displeased to apologetic.

"Sorry." He said with his hands up. "continue and make yourself comfortable." So this is what nick was talking about? She's good. "Can a nigga offer you somethin' to drink at least?" At this point I found myself laughing. She got my nigga from being the man of his own house to a house nigga. "No thanks." She said turning facing me. "I'm good." I couldn't help but keep licking my lips at her. Shawty got me feeling some type of way. "Calm down boy its not that type of visit" I snapped back into reality. "Huh? What are you talking about?" I said shyly with a grin. "You keep licking your lips. Do you need some chap stick or nah?" Yo shawty had a bit of an attitude on her. I like that.

"Okay, okay I'm sorry ma, I'll keep that down to a minimum." "Good." She rearranged herself and cleared her throat. "I have a bit of information for you." At that moment I sat straight up from the couch. "what you mean information?" She smiled and placed a finger over her lips. "Let me finish. Just listen" I nodded. "Yesterday I got word that there is a few people looking for you. Your future doesn't look that bright around here. So, I'm here to help." I felt a feeling of great relief and confusion. I raised two fingers in the air and waited to be called on. I felt like a second grader, but if I interrupted her again I felt she was gonna slice and dice me up like she did ol' dude from the day before. "Yes?" she called out.

"Do you know exactly who is looking for me? I mean what information do you have? I had to find out by walking down the corna sto' and a homie stopped meh ya heard meh." She shook her head and it seemed her curly hair swayed slowly back and forth. I just couldn't get over the fact how beautiful she is. She looked mad younger than I was. She had that sweet and innocent look to her but I knew she was everything but. "You was outside yesterday right?" "Yeah I was." I said. "Well those niggas where that crackhead's son's cousins. They came to me looking for help to find you. Surprise they didn't know you lived across the street." I was thankful. I mean I'm no busta. I'll go toe to toe with niggas but I'm in a part of town where I don't know much. Plus I don't look for fights. That's what got me in trouble back home. No need to fuck what I'm holding on to here with that bullshit.

"Well those niggas paid me a visit hoping they could get an inside scoop from me on you. Now i really don't know you much since we just met the other day, but I feel it in my heart to help you out. Only thing is right now, I don't know exactly how yet. But trust me. Whatever I come up with you will soon be free to roam and do whatever it is you do..." I gave her an evil glare. "You know damn well what it is I do Ma." She laughed. " Well I think its time for you need to quit love."Hmm... maybe you right." I said as I stood up from the couch. I took the time to stretch before I could make a move to the kitchen. I went to the fridge and came back to the couch with a beer. "So...now that a nigga is well informed on whats going on...what is your-our next move? She didn't answer me right away. She just seemed to enjoy looking at me. I took the opportunity to stare right back.

"August..." she asked. Hmm? I replied sipping on my beer. "why do you do what you do?" I was stumped. I really don't know why I choose to do what I do. I guess I fell into the crowd. My brothas do it so I'm like shit, why not ya know? "That is what I continue to ask myself time to time shawty. I don't know." She shook her head in disbelief. "If you don't know then why do it? I mean it is totally useless if you ask me..." At that moment I almost choked on my beer. "Wait a damn minute ma....Don't you sell drugs also?" Her eyes widen in shock. "No! I never even touch the stuff!" I don't believe it. She hangs around a house full of niggas and she don't help move any product? Something got to be up with her. I want to know more about her. "So...is it safe for us to go take a walk?" I asked hoping she would say yes. "uh huh. Its a bit to early for you to be seen right now." Damn shawty shot me down quick but for a good reason. She was doing me a solid. She got up from the coffee table and walked towards the door. "Maybe later though love...the dark is better." She said turning towards me before heading out the door.

At that moment the morning sun was shining through the windows and beaming off her entire body. It was like seeing Jesus Christ himself before you except it was a beautiful young girl. Her hair seemed lighter, her eyes shining, and her skin seemed like it shined as if she was covered in diamonds. She couldn't have picked a better moment to stand there. I was completely taken away. "I'll she you later Yungin' and stay low til later." She said wit a smile and walked out the door. I fell to my knees. "Wow..." I looked up and put my hand together and thanked God for answering my prayers. "Thank you God, I am ever so grateful. Thank you for sending me an angel to help me out of this mess...a beautiful angel.
