The Meeting

Sonic's POV

I felt a gloved hand land on my shoulder that made me shiver. I slowly turned around to see a bat girl that looked like the one from this morning.

"Hey, Tails! Who is your new friend?" She asked Tails as she gave me a smile.

"This is Sonic! He is a childhood friend of mine," Tails said proudly and nodded over at me

"I and my friends were wondering if you wanted to sit with us," 

"I think that's a good idea! I'll come to sit with you if Sonic comes too,"

Tails looked over at me and gave me a smile. I knew that smile... If I didn't go I would be in so much trouble. I let out a sigh and nodded.

"Well come one then!" Rouge urged and we all headed to the table we had seen Rouge sitting before.

"Guess who wanted to come to join us?" Rouse said as she sat down at the table.

Nervously I sat down next to Tails. I hate making new friends. I never had a good history with other people. Why did I agree to this?

"Guys this is Sonic! He is a good friend of mine," Tails said and looked over at me.

"I'm Knuckles the Echidna... Nice to meet you," The red one said and gave me a strange look.

"Shadow the Hedgehog," The black hedgehog said and gave me a friendly smile.

"I'm Blaze and this is my boyfriend Silver," A purple stated said and pointed to a wight hedgehog who waved at me.

"You already know me!" Rogue said with a giggle.

"My name is Amy Rose! But you can just call me Amy," Amy said and gave me a warm smile and I couldn't help but smile back.

"Have we met before? You seem familiar but I can't put my finger on it," Knuckles asked me and I shot up.

"Uh, I haven't really made friends at this school other than Tails so... I don't think you would know me," I told him with a worried giggle.

I looked over at the clock and there were only five minutes before school was out. Today was an early release day. Which to my luck it aided my quest.

I watched as the clock hand switched to only four minutes left. I decided to keep talking. Once and I while I would eye the necklace around Amy's neck.

"So Sonic... Where do you live? I have never seen you around town before," Silver asked me and I tried to make up a believable lie.

"I don't really want to say," I told them trying to avoid any question thrown at me. 

"Sonic... Do you have a girl yet?" Rouge then asked and I couldn't help but blush.

"N-No... I-I'm single," I told her stuttering my words a bit.

"Sonic are you ok? You're getting as red as Knuckle's fur," Amy asked me and I looked over at her then the clock.

When the clock finally said a minute until release I walked up to Amy. I put both of my hands on her shoulders and pulled her into a hug. As her arms returned the hug I was able to unhook the necklace and drop it down my sleeve.

"Thanks for caring Amy," I told her and winked at her.

She was in total shock and she didn't move. Now she was as red as I let out a small chuckle and walked up to her again. Her emerald green eyes looked at me. Both shining brightly and almost blinding. I kissed Amy on the cheek and turned around to walk away.

"Well, I gotta go. See Y'all around! Oh and Amy..." I stopped and looked her straight in the eyes.

She stopped dead in her tracks like a deer in headlights. She couldn't move at all. She looked like me when I was near water. I couldn't help but smile at the sight.

"You're as red as Knuckle's fur now," I said and walked out of the cafeteria just as the bell rang.
