I'll take care of you

Sonic's POV

My head was pounding and my body hurt so much that I could barely sit up. Everyone that I took made me wince in pain as I couldn't get up on my own. My eyes were still closed because of the brightness in the room.

"Ugh... What's going on? Is anyone there?" I asked out loud but there was no answer to my question.

I heard some shuffling nearby. Even though my head hurt a lot my curiosity got the better of me. I couldn't help my questionable instincts. I also wanted to find out where I was and what happened to me when I was out. Why was I in so much pain?

When I tried to sit up I was immediately pushed back down onto my back. My eyes slowly and carefully opened and I rubbed them as they adjusted to the bright lights pouring out of the light bulb above me. It was Amy and she had her hands on my shoulders as she gently pushed me on my back. 

"Amy? W-What happened?" I asked her as she lifted her hands off my shoulders.

"You were thrown to the ground and was knocked out. You opened a few of your cuts for jumping out the window and your dislocated ankle isn't getting any better... Do you remember now?" She asked me as she looked over at the new and blue Splint she had put on my ankle.

"I-I think it's coming back to me," I said as I held my head in pain from my head ache.

"Hey, guys! I see that Sonic is awake now," A wight hedgehog that I believe his name was Silver said.

"No thanks to you," Amy snapped at him then turned to me with a soft and kind smile.

Amy lifted my back up slowly and sat down. She then lowered me so that her lap was now my pillow like before. I didn't mind this at all for she was really soft and smelled really nice.

Amy's POV

Sonic was fast asleep in my lap. He was purring quietly so only I could hear. He didn't move at all and was warm and cozy. He nuzzled in and ruffled up my red dress in the proses. 

"Hey, hun can we all talk to you?" Rouge asked peeking her head out from behind the kitchen door.

"Sure! Come on in everyone!" I said cheerfully and everyone sat down on the different couches spread across my living room.

"So how's Sonic doing?" Tails asked as he sat down in the chair closest to me.

"He opened a few cuts and his dislocated ankle has gotten worse," I told him with a sad sigh and looked down at the blue figure in my lap.

"Tails... What do you know about Sonic? You seem to know him the best," Blaze asked the small fox as she eyed Sonic.

"Well... Like I said before he did get me adopted by a kind and loving family when we were younger. He also helped me pay to get into school when I knew he didn't have enough money. I don't know much about him except for the parts with me in them,"

"I think I can help you with that," I piped up and everyone looked over at me.

"They go ahead Ms. Rose," Shadow said and they all started listening.

"To be honest Sonic's life was really sad. His parents left him in the forest at a young age. He was adopted by thieves and was taught how to steal. He also had to provide for an entire family for the most of his life because his adopted parents couldn't even step out of the house without being caught," I told them and we all looked at Sonic how wasn't purring anymore.

"I feel really bad for the little guy," Rouge said and petted Sonic's head pushing his quills down only for them to pop back up.

"It's starting to get really late... I need to get home before I get in trouble," Tails said as he looked at his watch.

"Yeah, I think Tails is right... I think we need to go," Silver said and everyone got up and headed towards the door.

"We'll see you later hun... Do you need help with Sonic?" Rouge asked me before she shut the door behind her.

"No, I should be fine on my own... But thanks for asking!" I replied and she closed the door and left.

I didn't know what to do with the little hedgehog. He was soundly sleeping in my lap and needed more rest. I also needed to get to bed and go to sleep. But I couldn't leave Sonic here because he might have a nightmare.

I let out a sight and lifted Sonic up gently. I then picked him up and brought him to my room. I gently set him down on one side of the bed while I slowly crawled in on the other. 

I nuzzled into bed and slowly drifted away. It did scare me a little knowing that Sonic was in bed with me. But I trusted the blue hedgehog. 

'I'll always be there for you Sonic...' I thought and finally fell asleep.
