Mallory hill stayed quiet as the barista prepared her coffee. she fiddled with her fingers and waited patiently. not many people were at the coffee shop today - matter of fact, it was just her there at the moment. the barista was kind of cute to mallory. she looked up and viewed the small golden name tag clipped to his apron. it read graham. mallory smiled at his cute name. graham handed mallory her coffee right as the bell rang, signaling someone has opened the door to the shop. mallory turned her head to see who it was.
a tall boy walked in. he had glowing blonde hair and glowing blue eyes. his white clothing seemed to light up the whole room. this was luke,
but mallory didn't know that.
luke stopped in his tracks and stared at mallory.
"so it's you." he whispered, glaring at the poor and confused girl. she didn't know what luke was talking about, but luke did.
luke was happy that he got assigned such a beautiful girl. he found her truly astonishing in beauty.
"what?" mallory's face twisted in extreme confusion but luke just shook his head and smiled.
"my name is lucas, but you can call me luke." luke extended his hand but mallory didn't take it - she just stared at his fingers and how they were so pale yet seemed glow a vibrant white. luke awkwardly cleared his throat and slowly moved his hand back down to his side.
"see you around," he walked passed mallory and to the barista - graham. you see, mallory had to look at graham's name tag to find out his name, but luke -
he already knew everything about graham, his name included.
luke pretended to order from the barista as mallory slowly made her way out of the small coffee shop. when luke couldn't see her brown hair any longer, he left the shop mid-conversation. graham was left confused. he felt like he never actually saw luke walk out, he felt like luke just kind of left. maybe graham just blacked out for a moment, I mean it's possible. but all things are possible including luke vanishing into thin air.
