Being the Light to His Darkness (Kuroko no Basket Fanfiction)

Chapter One- The Beginning

Warning: I'm making Kuroko very OOC at most points so~

Senri's P.O.V.~

  I breathed in as I binded my chest tightly with a long bandage. 'This is the only way I could play basketball with Tetsu..'

  Oh, how silly of me to not introduce myself. My name is Senri or Seina as my real name. I used to go to Teiko Middle Scholl and played as the seventh Generation of Miracles; I was known as the Invisible Emperor. It may seem like a scary nickname but I don't think I deserve it. I was told that I was unable to join the female basketball team because I was too 'rough' so I had to join the male team. However, you must be male to join the team and so I decided to conceal my true gender to enter.

  As I put on my new uniform, I realized that it was almost time for school to start. 'Oh no.. Not the first day..!'

   3rd Person P.O.V.~

   Lucky for Senri, the first morning only consisted of people trying to join clubs.

  "Join the basketball club and you'll be cute!" A sharp eyed boy cried, handing fliers out.

   'Damn, that bait~' She thought as she silently passed the boy. Suddenly, she saw a familiar bright blue colour hair that she could recognize from anywhere who picks a basketball flier off of the ground.

  Senri's P.O.V.~

  "Tetsu?!" I gasped in surprise. The light blue hair boy turned back to glance at me.

"Seina-chan!" He exclaims, breaking his monotone facade. "It's been a while."

  I run up to him and gave him a bit hug. Yes, Tetsu was one of those very few people who know my true identity, other than Akashi and the principal who let me do this. Although, he found out in the most peculiar way. Tetsu is so great at being the "phantom man" that sometimes, he sneaks up to you like a ninja when you think no one is looking.

  "I missed you.." I said, snuggling into his arms. It must've been his lack of presence that was making us both invisible or people were too embarrassed to look at us because no one really paid any attention to us.

  Tetsu ruffled my short wig. "You're still joining the basketball club?"

  I sighed and pouted. "Only if you join~"

   He gave a small laugh. "Don't make me the only reason why you'd join the basketball club. We both know you and I have a purpose other than that to do this."

  I smirked and released him. "Of course I do. Who do you think I am?"

"The most strongest player I know," Kuroko said with a small smile. "And my best friend."

  "Why not my shadow?" I teased him. "I can be your light."

  "You're already the light of my life." He murmured. 'Did I hear that wrong.?'

"Can you repeat that?" I asked him and his eyebrows shot up.

  "It's nothing," he said bashfully and dodges the question. "Let's go sign up."

  Tetsu swiftly grabs my right hand to my surprise. It seemed like he had matured even more than before, not by height (although he had grown five full inches..) but mentally as well.

  As we pass by the basketball members, Tetsu snagged another form from the boy with the cat like face, who was too busy yelling at a quiet looking boy to tell them out loud to get more members to joined.

  I stifled a laugh. "Still being the phantom man you always are, huh?"

  Tetsu hands me the form and I accepted it with my free hand. "I got to say, it's useful sometimes."

Time Skip~
3rd Person's P.O.V.~

  After Kagami's visit to the basketball sign up station, Riko and Hyuuga were pretty shaken up.

"W-Well, I think that's all for toda-" Riko started until she realized that there were two club forms that magically appeared on the table.

  "Did you see anyone come here..?" She asked Hyuuga, while flipping through the two forms. He shook his head no.

"W-Wait!" Riko suddenly slams her hands on the table. "These two are from Teiko Middle School!"

  Hyuuga gasped. "The powerhouse middle school?"

"Their names are," Riko squints. "Kuroko Tetsuya and Shirogane Senri.. Have you heard of them..?"

  "Not at all-" Hyuuga said, tapping his head. "Why did they decide to join?"

  "We want to show them what true basketball is about.." Riko said and smirked. "Well, this would be an interesting year for us."
