Senri's P.O.V.~
Finally, after countless days of suffering through Riko-Senpai's training, the long awaited match came. However, many of us seemed quite out of it after her hellish training. I, myself, barely got any sleep due to my legs cramping up in the middle of the night.
"Are you alright, Seina-chan?" Tetsu asked me, looking at the bags under my eyes. "Your eyes are so bloodshot that I could almost compare it to Kagami's."
"What did you say?" Kagami yelled at him and I shrugged.
"I don't think it looks that bad.." Kagami's face twisted with annoyance. "Compared to Kagami's that is."
Everyone had already arrived in our uniforms, even the first years who barely go on to play. As we walked towards the gym, Tetsu turned to Kagami once more.
"Did you not sleep again?" He asked and Kagami sighed deeply.
"Sh-Shut up.."
Time Skip~ At the Gym~
There was still time before the match so we decided to shoot some hoops to warm up. I watched as one of our opponents did a two-pointer and it bounced off the front of the board.
"Dad doesn't seem to be here." Hyuuga-Senpai said and I smirked at this.
Izuki-Senpai stopped bouncing his basketball. "Now that you mention it.."
"Then it'll be much easier for us to win then~" I sang but like always, I jinxed myself and dad walked in, his forehead hitting the top of the door.
"Ow!" He complained so loudly, even Tetsu looked up. Dad ducked underneath the door frame. "Everything is so short in Japan."
"He's huge! And kind of.. long." Koganei-Senpai complained and the opposing side's couch looked up at Dad.
"Why are you late?" He asked him and Dad glared down at him, sort of making it seem like he was the one with higher authority.
"Sorry, I'm late." He said, not sounding sorry at all and a brunette boy with average features greeted him.
:Why is that the only thing you can say fluently?" He asked with a teasing tone and Hyuuga-Senpai accidentally dropped his ball, causing it to roll over to the brunette's direction.
"Sorry!" He exclaimed as he picked it up.
"If you're like that, dropping your balls all the time, how did you guys really beat Kaijo?" The brunette taunted Hyuuga-Senpai.
"It was just a practice game." Hyuuga-Senpai said firmly.
"I see." The brunette smirked. "I guess the Generation of Miracles isn't as strong as we thought."
"The Generation of Miracles lost?" Dad asked and looked towards the wall. "it seems that they brought me here to defeat them."
"I'm disappointed that they're so weak." He said. Kagami tcched at that and I watched as Tetsu crept behind Dad to pull on his jersey. Dad, being the jerk he is, turned around to look and saw no one, so he looked down on Tetsu. He then grabbed Tetsu around his upper body to look at him more closely. "No, little boy. Children shouldn't be on the court."
Fuming at this, I stomped over to Dad and jumped to grab his collar to pull him down to my eye level; Tetsu was thankfully freed from this.
"Excuse me!" I yelled at his face, his eyes closing from the loud vibrations. "The only child here is actually you with your pea sized brain."
