Senri's P.O.V.~

"Captain, I copied the preliminary tournament bracket!" Furihata-kun yelled as he passed a copy of the chart to all the basketball members. I thanked him when he handed me mine and looked at the order of matches. Oh, we get to play Aomine and Midoriya if we make it to the semi-finals, huh..

"The Inter-High preliminaries start as a tournament." Hyuuga-Senpai said, putting his hands on his hips. "If we lose, we're out."

"No duh we are!" I exclaimed. "You don't have to state the obvious."

"That means," he glared at me, making me hide behind Tetsu in fear. "We can't let our guard down for a single game. Since we are from Tokyo, we have blocks A to D and basically the winner of each block goes to play for the Championship League."

"And from there, the top three teams will participate in the Inter-High." He concluded, shaking his head. "Only three schools are chosen out of all three hundred participating schools to enter it and the chosen 1% can only stand on the court of their dreams."

Kagami looks up from his paper.

"I sort of get the picture," he said. "But you're wrong about one thing."

"What's wrong about what I said?" Hyuuga-Senpai asked.

"The people aren't chosen.." Kagami replied. "They win it... Sir."

The Senpais look at each other and smile.

"We've got three weeks until the Inter-High preliminaries." Hyuuga-Senpai concluded. "We were only one step short last year, but we'll definitely go this year."

"Especially since we have Tetsu and Kagami~!" I cheered and received another glare for interrupting Hyuuga-Senpai once more.

"Can you please let me finish speaking before you start to blab off?" He said, his glasses gleaming and I nodded in fear once more. "We may have a lot of strong opponents but our biggest and strongest opponent is Shutoku."

"Last year, they were in the nation's top eight schools and on top of that, they acquired one of the Generation of Miracles to join their team."

"That's going to be the championship match though," Izuki-Senpai said.

"Senri, Kuroko, you both know who he is, don't you?" Kagami asked us. I peeked around Kuroko's back.

"I doubt you would believe me even if I told you." Kuroko said. "But just like Kise-kun said, the other four are on another level like Senri-Kun."

I nodded my head. "If they gotten even better than middle school, they might be able to stand up to Tetsu and I working together~"

Before Kagami could ask us more questions, Hyuuga-Senpai butted into the conversation once more. "However, in order to play Shutoku, we must defeat our first opponent!"

There was a bunch of cheers until I noticed someone important missing.

"Has anyone seen the coach?" I asked them. Riko-Senpai usually isn't missing so it was quite an odd occasion.

"She went to observe our first opponent's practice game." Hyuuga-Senpai answered me and I raised an eyebrow.

"And how do you know that?" I smirked at him. "Could it be you two are both dating?"

Hyuuga-Senpai turned beet red and was about to strangle me but the gym door opened and a very irritated looking Riko-Senpai walked in.

"Why aren't you skipping today?" Furihata-Kun said mindlessly and she glared at him.

"Like Hell I will!" She yelled at him.

Hyuuga-Senpai shook his head. "Morons, she wouldn't act like an idiot over an official game."

"But," he turns towards her. "You do seem unhappy. Are they good?"

"You all shouldn't be worrying about Shutoku." Riko looked at us. "When our first match isn't looking good."

"Huh, what do you mean?" I asked her and she sighed.

"One of their players might give us trouble." She replied and handed her cellphone towards Hyuuga-Senpai. "You guys can watch the videos later but just look at this picture first."

We all gathered behind Hyuuga-Senpai to take a look and surely enough, the picture was nothing that we all expected.

"Th-This is.." Hyuuga-Senpai gaped at the picture. I peeked over his shoulder to see a cat staring right at us in an adorable position. "It's cute but.."

I could see Tetsu being interested in animals like he always is and Riko-Senpai face-palmed. "Sorry, it's the next one."

To my disappointment, it wasn't a cute cat like before but instead was a tall African male.

"His name is Papa Mbaye Siki." Riko explained. "He's two meters tall and weighs about 87 kilograms. And you all probably guessed this, he's a foreign student from Senegal."

"Senegal?" I asked. "Where is that again?"

"It's a country in Africa." Tetsu replied and I thanked him. My geography isn't the best so I don't know a lot of places/

"He's huge though," Hyuuga-Senpai's eyes widened. "Two meters?"

"Is that even allowed?" Koganei-Senpai asked in disbelief.

Everyone seemed to be scared and shocked by this discovery but Kagami just sighed.

"He's just big, right?" He shook his head.

"This Papa Mbaye.. What was it?" Hyuuga-Senpai looked embarrassed about forgetting his name.

"Papanpa?" Another first year student questioned.

 "It's Papa Try-Hard." Koganei-Senpai commented.

"Papa.." Izuki-Senpai jumped a bit and began to scribble away in his notebook of notebook of cringe-worthy lines. "Papaya Ito."

Riko-Senpai sighed and crossed her arms. "We're not getting anywhere with this."

She looks at Tetsu. "Kuroko-kun, give him a nickname."

Oh, God. Did she really just choose him..?

Kuroko tapped his right index finger on his chin as if he was deep in thought and hummed. "How about 'dad', then?"

"What's with your naming sense?" Koganei-Senpai asked him, holding his hands in a questioning stance.

Kuroko's poor nicknaming skill also gave Izuki-Senpai another idea for a terrible pun. "Dad's company is a dud."

Everyone seemed to choke over that lame pun and Riko sighed at us once more. "So, for this 'Dad', he's not just tall. His arms and legs are long, too."

"Basically, he's not the only foreign student in this Inter-High." She shook her head. "Many school are getting students from abroad to increase their power and the school we're facing next was only a middle tier school last year."

"But still, we can't just do nothing." Kagami said and I looked gratefully at him.

"That's right!" I exclaimed. "It's not good if we just sit around and do nothing!"

"Who said we would?" Riko smiled evilly at Tetsu, Kagami and I. "So, Kagami-kun, Kuroko-kun and Senri-kun.. Starting tomorrow, the three of you will all get your own training regimen."

I sighed at this and she continued. "The preliminaries start on May 16th. Until then, you won't even have time to complain!"
